QA REPORT
Noted by:
I. Objective:
To evaluate and analyze the properties and appearance of pre-painted galvalume with black rust after undergoing
roll forming.
II. Methodology
PPGL evaluated with black rust will undergo Roll forming. Two types of profile will be used for the evaluation
1.) Rib and 2.) Corrugated. Production personnel cut 5 meters of sheet to be used for the evaluation. The sheet cut into
half and proceed to the rib and corrugated machine for roll forming.
After processing and evaluation of the coil, the PPGI with black rust shows paint peel off on the edge of the rib
profile in which the black rust is present (See pictures below) upon evaluation its adhesion properties, the panel shows
paint peel off on the portion with black rust. It is observed also that the present of black rust is still visible to both rib and
corrugated profile
IV. Conclusion:
After processing and evaluation of the coil after undergoing roll forming, the PPGI with black rust shows low
possibility to be used in rib because of the paint peel off. It is also noted that the initial test for the PPGI was conducted
on the side without the black rust in which shows a good quality performance however upon evaluation it is observe that
the paint has low adhesion on the portion with black rust. Its appearance also shows the present of black rust but it is
minimal and has still a smooth surface. In terms of profile to be used we can conclude that the corrugated choice
however it is recommendable to subject those panel to accelerated weathering test to further strengthen those claims.
