Background of the study
Germs are everywhere! They can get into hands and items we touching daily activities
and make us sick. Cleaning hands at key times with soap and water or hand sanitizer
that contains at least 60% alcohol is one of the most impotant steps you can take to
avoid getting sick and spreading germs to those around you.
This helps prevent infection because people frequently touch their eyes, nose, and
mouth without even realizing it. Germs can get into the body through the eyes, nose
and mouth and make us sick.
A hand sanitizer is an agent applied to the hands for the purpose of removing common
pathogens (disease-causing organisms). Hand sanitizers typically come in foam, gel, or
liquid form. Use is recommended when soap and water are not available for hand
washing.
Aloe vera gel adds moisture and nutrishment to hand sanitizer, helping to balance the
harsh drying effects of alcohol. It also adds some thickness for easier and more effective
application, adding to the important contact time of alcohol on your skin as well as
preventing it from sticking to your skin.
