1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Name of Company and Address
1|B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
1.2 Company Background
Food4Stud is a food and beverage company that was founded with the highest
level of customer satisfaction in mind. The primary goal is to ensure that our
customers are completed satisfied when our customers order our set menu lunch menu.
Food4Stud is a partnership by its very essence. Food4Stud is a food and beverage
created by our company to satisfy our customers by providing delicious food and
beverage at affordable prices among students. Food4Stud are located at UniKL
Business School Yayasan Selangor, Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz, Kampung
Baru, 50300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
i. There is a huge demand for the product: Student’s desire for the product
has increased significantly in recent years because it is the cheapest lunch
meal for a student to satisfy their hunger. Since Covid-19 disease, we could
also deliver their meal to the hostel or house. As a result, the product appears
to be quite limited in a specific location. A market survey should reveal all
the details that you may need about the market for your product or service
which is the market share that you can expect to take. According to
Vaishnani (2018) from “9 Indispensable Factors to Consider Before Starting
a Business” (as cited Kapil 2018).
ii. Less competitors in the university: Food4Stud is the only business that
produces meals on the UBIS campus that can serve all students. With less
competition and fewer barriers, Food4Stud may be able to make a profit that
can influence the student’s not to buy outside foods product. Plus, not
everyone can manage the best quality and taste of the food, we promise that
we can meet the tastes of customers.
iii. Start the business with low cost: Since campus are not able to open yet due
to Covid-19 pandemic, we can operate in our own hostel, buying the raw
material at the nearest supermarket, and easily serve students who live in a

hostel or we do cash on delivery for students who live at the rented house
(KL area)
1.4 Objective
i. To serve good and cheapest price foods to UniKL students and society.
ii. To make it easier for students to get food during a Covid-19 Pandemic.
iii. To prove that students can also generate income by doing business in the
university.
iv. To take advantage such as gadgets and social media to promote our products
to gain profit.

4.0 Business planning
4.1 Physical store
In the beginning it would be necessary to decide if such an approach is indeed good
and refreshing for students. We will advance it and try to put a physical store next to
the campus location and make it easy for the other to come and eat or take away. Next,
we will provide for them to order the food early so they can just take the food or eat
on the go without them to wait for long time to eat after eating they can just go to
their classes, we focus to give them comfort. Aside from that there should be enough
area and space for them to eat and follow the SOP on this time of Covid Considering
our main target market is the university students from Universiti Kuala Lumpur
Business School, the location of our physical shop should be easily accessible for the
student
10 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
4.2 Digital marketing
Nowadays When there would be a clear ‘yes’ from the student and customer,
online system for editing and selecting the menu would have to be integrated in
already existing online platform (FODD4STUD). Online system would be simple
allowing students to select what type of package or food from the list made by us
allowing us to see the what the student demanded of the selection. This step it might
need some time to fully integrate and test the system.
digital market is booming as almost everyone in this generation have access to the
internet and electronic devices. Moreover, due to the pandemic, it is also advisable for
people to stay at home instead of going out without any urgent or emergency purposes.
Therefore, it is important for a small business like our Food4stud to grab the
opportunity of using the digital media to promote our company to the potential online
consumers. The digital marketing methods that we would be using is by setting up our
own websites with the basic information about what we offer and how to contact us as
well as updates and news about any promotions. Digital marketing is not something
that is foreign for the small business community, it is often used by small businesses
to promote their services and products as it is the cheapest and fastest form of
marketing strategy.
Aside from that, we also use the social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram
to do boost advertising while also promote our services and gain feedback from the
customers as well as real life examples of our products to provide consumer
satisfaction. Furthermore, through social media platforms, our small business would
be able to gain the coverage through various medium which leads us to various
potential customers, essentially the students and low to medium income earners that
are residing in Kuala Lumpur area. We will be promoting to them with a budget
friendly and affordable food services available at Food4stud shop.

5.0 IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
For our customers that are unable to physically visit our store or walk-in to
order the food, we also provide an alternative for them to deliver their food to their
address or contact us directly for more enquiries. Our company opens this opportunity
for those who do not have any free time to come to eat at our store physically. We
also provide a pick-up and delivery services via courier services. For any enquiries,
our customers can contact us by calling or sending a message to 012-908-
6109(Food4Stud) or through messaging the available staff online at our website. The
implementation process consists of four main steps which starts from ordering,
payment, fulfillment and finally the delivery of the products.
5.1 Ordering
i. Customers can choose to walk-in at our physical store in which they could
continue to physically enquire and request us the food from the menu or
package that they want. The address of our physical store available for walk in
is as follows:
ii. Customers can go online and order from our website. By surfing through our
website, customers will be able to find out the details of the products and
services that are available at our company. The link to our website
is www.Food4Stud.ubis.com
I. The first step is customers are required to choose the type off package on the
menu that they wish to eat. There are different categories to choose from
which include set A, Set B, Set C, or another type of food they want without
package.
12 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
Figure 5.1.1: Food category that available during lunch
Then it would be necessary to identify possible courses where many type of food
could be quickly doing and what are they want in such areas by my opinion students
could benefit the most. It would be also necessary to discuss with the student too what
they want
II. The second step is to order the food and type of food they want from the
online menu that have been given just choose or add and see the price and
carefully check before proceeding to click the button for the payment process
13 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
III. Customer and student are also able to order and choose their own type of food
they want and the services where the student and customer can require from
the get-go it is also required for them to include the contact details specifically
the phone number to easy for us to contact them if the food are ready and
ready to be delivered or we can ask for them if they want to add something
else.
5.2 Payment
Our company provides several ways for our customers to proceed with their
payment which includes the cashless payment through the usage of credit cards and
online banking payment. We also provide the alternative method of paying through
cash on delivery as well as walk-in physically to our shop for payment process before
the transaction is accepted. The bank account used by our company is Maybank and
CIMB Bank where customers can transfer their payment to.
Example of both bank:
5.2.1 fulfilment
i. In this process, customers are required to confirm their order and ensure that
they have paid for the costs. Customers should attach the receipt after the
payment was done as a proof of purchase. Prior to the payment, our company
would instantly start to complete the order by the expected time agreed upon
during the discussion.
14 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
ii. Customers are also required to inform and let us know about the details and
information needed regarding the delivery services.
iii. We will give the account number to the customer when they need to make a
payment so that they know it is not a scam and they can trust us and the
process when order online and paying it online.
15 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
6.0 Production plan.
The operation plan is one of the most important factors that need to be considered in a
business to ensure the smoothness of operations and continuity of production. It is a
process of managing business inputs to transform them into outputs in the form of
products or services. Like other companies, our target is to ensure that our products
and services are the best in quality and able to satisfy our customers’ needs and wants.
Hence, a systematic and detailed operational plan is formed so that our business runs
smoothly and achieves its objectives.
16 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
6.0.1 Set of Planning
Food4Stud can give a strategy business that can boost out sell and can achieve the
objective planning.
Based on Objective operational plan here we though that our business can give
discount or set of combo to the student without touching the profit of our business.
Thus the plan will help student to protect their stomach from gastric because of late
lunch or not eat because of busy of student life.
17 | B u s i n e s s P r o p o s a l
6.2 Set of product and pricing
Our research team conducts a questionnaire survey to determine the price of our
products and services. We consider the results of a poll conducted by 50 UniKL
Business School students to determine how much they are spending for a lunch time.
Table below show the respond on question “How far do you spend for a lunch time?”
Answer Percentages
RM 5 12%
RM 5-10 64%
Above RM 10 24%
Table 6.2.1: Prices that to be spend for a lunch time by the respondents
According to the survey, the majority of students (64%) are spend between RM 5.00
to RM 10.00 for lunch, although there are some students who disagree. When both
groups of students with comparable percentages are combined together, there are still
a lot of students who are spend above RM 10.00 (24%). The lowest percentage of
respondents spend less than RM 5.00 for lunch is only (12 percent), implying that our
products should have a minimum price of RM10.00. The following are the pricing for
our products as a result of the survey. According Hong and Prybutok (2009) noted
that service quality is a significant contributor to the success of a business. According
to Shanka and Taylor (2005), customer satisfaction is the significant determinant of
foodservice provider success which is why many foodservice providers want to
understand how consumers develop and evaluate the service relationship and how that
relationship affects the overall level of consumer satisfaction Another study
conducted by Xi and Shuai (2009) also stated that student’s satisfaction in on-campus
foodservice depend on food quality, variety, and price fairness.

7.0 Costing
Management standard costing is among the challenging elements of operating
in the business. We planned to start a small business in UniKL Business School by
serving the lunch meal set among students. However, our goal is to offer a variety of
food and beverage at an affordable price and delicious food, so that students may
afford it.
With student's difficulty in getting cheap food on campus, food and drinks are
getting more demand. Of course, students looking at a reasonable price for their food
instead of buying at the restaurant is quite far away from campus. Plus, during the
packed schedule, students did not have enough time to cross the road, walk for 1 KM
to find their lunch.
Since we are from the food industry that serves students, we are not using a lot
of capital to run our business on campus. We just estimated students every day who
attend a class, then we know how much we should spend to buy raw material for food
and beverage. Plus, maybe we need to pay some of the amounts to Yayasan Selangor
to put our stall at the UniKL Business School area.

because of student is having class, lazy, the canteen is far and have financial problem
can be reducing by our business idea. Furthermore, our business idea base on
objective is fully purposed to the customer.
Last but not least, we also hope that through our business proposal, we are
able to create an awareness about the important of having an affordable food delivery
to the campus area. In addition, we also hope that through our questionnaire survey,
we are able to share about the products and services available at our shop for our
potential customers to understand the context of our research and support our small
business. Moreover, we also hope that through our report, we are able to gain the trust
of our investors to provide the funds and capital needed to operate our business as
soon as possible.
