1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 ABOUT HAICHIJIA

Hai Chi Jia’s best-selling Suan La Fen might have been the product that shot the 2-year
old company to fame. Suan La Fen roughly translates as “sour-spicy noodles”, but Hai Chi Jia’s
rendition creates a distinct mala-like numbing sensation compared to traditional Suan La Fen.
The name of this business will be HAICHIJIA. This business was establish on July 2020.
Business will offer a range of services to the young generation and will be serving both of the
family and also the student that are studies at home at this village. HAICHIJIA is a sole trader
business that operate at New Village Temoh.

Due to the problem of the Covid-19, government set a rule and guidelines that prevent the
people go outside to protect themselves, so there were many of the student are studies online and
busy with their assessment and test at their home. Basically, they might not possess their own
transport and don’t have many free time go outside for having the breakfast, lunch and also
dinner. According to this situation, we may provide a food delivery services where they can
easily made their order through online at our Instagram’s shop with their mobile devices. The
food services are fast and quickly delivery to their doorstep so they can enjoy the food at home.

1.2 FOOD SERVICES INDUSTRY

HAICHIJIA established as a food services industry that offers a range of services to a


culturally diversified customer base. The business will be able to cater the diversified client base
with the markable food in the food services industry. The food services industry encompasses
any establishment that serves food to people outside their home. Food services industry divided
into two groups which is those prepare and serve food and those that produce and distribute food,
equipment, and services needed by food providers.

The companies that supply foodservice operators are called foodservice distributors.
Foodservice distributors sell goods like small wares (kitchen utensils) and foods. Some
companies manufacture products in both consumer and foodservice versions. The consumer
version usually comes in individual-sized packages with elaborate label design for retail sale.
The foodservice version is packaged in a much larger industrial size and often lacks the colorful
label designs of the consumer version.

2.0 PURPOSE OF BUSINESS PLAN

2.1 PURPOSE OF BUSINESS PLAN

Business plan is a written document that describes in detail how a business develop and
operates. It also defines the objectives and strategy to achieve its goals in the business. Business
plan lays out a written roadmap for the business from each of a marketing, financial and
operational process. Business plan helps HAICHIJIA to keep on target going forward or move in
a new direction. Good business plans may include an executive summary, products and services,
marketing strategy and analysis, financial planning and business’s budget.

Business plans also can be used as a decision making tools. The content and format of the
plan are determined by the goals and audience. Preparing a business plan draws on a wide range
of knowledge from many different business disciplines such as finance, human resource
management, intellectual property management, supply chain management, operations
management and marketing.

HAICHIJIA will be required RM200 to start the business. The capital to startup the
business was totally supported by investment of the manager, Wong Yat Fai and also his family.

3.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

3.1 BUSINESS IDEA

My company, HAICHIJIA is operating as a food services business to help the young


generation in the village getting their breakfast, lunch and dinner more easily from me. We make
the business more efficient by providing a delicious sour and spicy noodles which are the most
famous brand in China. Also, the young people also feel difficult to buy foods outside because

far away and also having transportation problem. I think the food services that provided could
solve their problems and also the price of the food are really acceptable and valuable for them.

3.2 PRODUCTS / SERVICES DESCRIPTION

3.2.1 PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION

HAICHIJIA was a famous brand in the China which it had many favor of the noodles, so
I decided to sell the one in the list which is the Suan La Fen. I would like to set the price at a
suitable price to afford the buyer needs. Here are some of the products information.

Like the other flavors on this list, Suan La Fen comes with 6 packets of condiments,
containing: seasoning powder, dried vegetables, black vinegar, fragrant fried peanuts and chilli
paste and chilli oil. That’s definitely more packets than most instant noodles, but glance at the
list of contents and it will be astounded by 49 different ingredients.

3.2.2 SERVICES DESCRIPTION

The services that provide by the business such as delivery services can help the buyer get
their food quickly. There were no additional fee for delivery if the buyer are from the village
because it is nearly so it is easily for me to send the food to them on time. I planned that the
business could provide a best services to the customer so that a good satisfaction can received
from them.

I hope the services can reduce their time and money to buy food outside which the order
can made at the website online and the customer can enjoy their food nicely in about 10-15
minutes delivery time depend on their location. So, once they have made their payment through
the application online, they just need to wait at home besides doing their work.

The main goals of my business is to maximize the customer utility and profit besides
delivery a good services to the customer. Meanwhile, I hope the business can provide a customer

experience that encourages repeat business and also create a sense of loyalty in customers to
make them become my regular customers.

i. Teamwork
Teamwork in a business is a most important key to make all the process that
running can be successful. In my business, I would like to cooperate with my family to
sell the food which I will introduce and share the food information to them. Then, they
could help me to promote to their friend to increase my selling and profit gained. All of
our company’s members which include me and my family will always work together to
achieve our goals and objectives.
ii. Open Communication Skill
In the business, a good communication skill may lead to a success of the planning
of all idea. So, I could always discuss with my family about the ways to improve my
selling of the food. Also, I will improve my communication skills with the customer so
they can more understand about my product that offer for them and make them feel
excited to pay for the product from me. Due to these, I shall improve my business
performance nicely.

All the delivery services for the food services will be charge of RM3 ringgit per
kilometer if the location are 3km away from the place of seller. If there are the order that pick
from the customer from the New Village Temoh, then there should not have any additional
charge for delivery which means it is free for them.

7.2 TARGET CUSTOMER

HAICHIJIA was set the young generation in the New Village Temoh as the target
customer which are ages between 15 until 30 years old. For example, the university student may
become our customer because they are busy for their assignment, quiz and also test at their home
due to the pandemic problem. They also worry about going outside for buying food because need
to wear a mask and also far away from their home.

According to our information, most of the customer that are ages below 18 are supported
by their parents for their financial resources. So, I think the price of the product are suitable for
them and it is valuable.

7.3 TARGET MARKET

HAICHIJIA was set the target market of business on the young people such as the
students in New Village Temoh. New Village Temoh was located at Perak and it is near to the
Kampar and also Tapah. There were some primary school, secondary school and also
universities such as UTAR at Kampar. The student from these school were not allow to go back
school due to the pandemic, and they are study at home. The product that I sell are the famous

food in China and they will be attract by it because the favor are more likely by the young
generation. This also will increase the usage of our food delivery services.

There are a lots of operational strategy are planned by HAICHIJIA to improve the
performance of the business. These strategy includes:

Operational strategies that include customer-driven approaches to meet the needs and
desires of a target market which provide a quality product or service at a fair cost that
consistently meets the needs of a customer and also get a high satisfaction from the
customer.
ii. Development of competitive priorities
My business will be evaluates the operational costs, the quality of a product or service,
the time it takes to develop and deliver a good service and improve the flexibility of a
good or service with regard to variety, volume and customization.

iii. Minimize the cost to get a high profit
In this case, I will always plan my management expenses, marketing expenses,
operational expenses to make sure I can get a higher revenue after the selling of product
to the customer. This ways also help me to manage the process of selling become more
efficient and effectively.

10.0 SUMMARY
HAICHIJIA Suan La Fen was defined as Sour and Spicy Noodles which creates a distinct
mala-like numbing sensation. The business was establish on July 2020 and will be operated at
New Village Temoh. There will be starting capital of RM200 to support the operation of the
business. This business had a free delivery services to the customer in the New Village Temoh
and it targeted the young generation as its customer. HAICHIJIA was aim to maximize its profit
besides maintain the loyalty of the customer by giving a good services.

HAICHIJIA also develop a good product that was famous and can attract the eye contact
of the customer because it always maintain the quality of the product to compete with other
brand of fast food noodles such as MiSedaap and Maggi.
