Hygiene - Global Handwashing Day 2023"

In line with DepEd Order No. 10 s. 2016

entitled “The Policy and Guidelines for the
Comprehensive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in
Schools (WINS) Program” which aims to promote
correct hygiene and sanitation practices among
school children, Lalig National High School stood
as a beacon of health and hygiene as it
enthusiastically participated in the Global
Handwashing Day celebration. Embracing the
international theme, "Clean Hands are Within
Reach," and the local theme, "Malinis na Kamay:
Tulay sa Malusog at Matatag na Kinabukasan"
(Clean Hands: Bridge to a Healthy and
Prosperous Future), the school emphasizes the
importance of handwashing as a fundamental
practice for a healthier community, October
18,2023.

The simultaneous handwashing activity on Global

Handwashing Day from Grade 7 to Grade 12 at
Lalig National High School was not just a
momentary act but a lasting lesson. It illustrated
the power of unity and the impact that a
synchronized effort can have on public health. By
coming together to wash their hands
simultaneously, the school community
emphasized the significance of cleanliness in
building a healthier, stronger, and more resilient
future. This event will be remembered as a pivotal
moment, where every individual's commitment to
hand hygiene became a stepping stone towards a
cleaner, healthier community.
