Lesson 1

Moving with the ball (dribbling)

Quality of Movement
To be able to perform the following dribbling techniques: left-right (Indian), backhand & forehand spin
and lob.

Give examples of when you would use each piece of skill in a game.

To have an understanding of the rules that affect tackling and stick contract.

Understand and take part in all components of a warm-up: raise heart rate, stretch, increase blood flow
to muscles, mental preparation and skill-based practise.
Lesson 2
Passing

Quality of Movement
To be able to propel the ball using the push, hit and lob pass.
To be able to receive the ball under control.

Understanding Movement
To have an understanding and knowledge of when to use the push pass in a game and to have the basic knowledge of
the rules that affect the lob pass.

Taking Part and Leading


Make passes safely and work as a group (regardless of team), to safely and fairly referee a match.

Warm Up
Identify the correct leg muscles that are involved in turning and passing.
Lesson 3
Shooting

Quality of Movement
Successful perform hit and drag shots.

Understanding Movement
Show good decision making: do you have time to shoot and what is the best shot selection?

Taking Part and Leading


Show intent to refine both shots and play the drag shot safely.

Healthy Bodies
Identify the muscles in the upper body that are involved when shooting the ball.
Lesson 4
Tackling & Defending

Quality of Movement
Successful perform interceptions and tackles.

Understand rules of tackling and reding attacking play.

Show integrity and teamwork to safely tackle and call fouls.

Identify bones in the lower body and recall muscles surrounding them.

Show awareness of movement, especially to create space and receive the ball.

Work together as a team, to discuss attacking approach, roles and adjustments.
