General Information (Return System)

Return Hydraulic System

The oil delivery from the main pumps will enter the main control valves. The oil then flows to the return
passage and into the hydraulic tank in the following manner.

When all joysticks and/or travel pedals are in the NEUTRAL position, pump low pressure standby oil from the
hydraulic pumps flows through the center bypass passage in the main control valves. From the center bypass
passages, the oil flows through the slow return check valves and into the hydraulic tank.

When any one of the joysticks and/or travel pedals is shifted from the NEUTRAL position, center bypass
passages in the main control valves are blocked. The return oil flows from the cylinders and/or motors through
the main control valves, through the slow return check valves, returns to the hydraulic tank.

Other components of the return system include:

• Slow return check valve

• Hydraulic oil cooler

• Hydraulic tank and filters
