locations. Travel can be done by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, ship
or other means, with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. Travel can
also include relatively short stays between successive movements, as in the case of
tourism.
There are advantages to traveling. It broadens your horizons, traveling not only
provides you with a sense of adventure but helps us to learn more about other cultures
and their life styles. Whether it is a short trip or an extended trip by exploring other
cultures it enhances your knowledge and changes a person’s overall perspectives. It also
gives us a real-life education by meeting different people from other cultures and
exploring other societies provides an education that is near to impossible to get from any
school, college or university. People also become independent because a person will learn
to be responsible for there own laundry, grocery, shopping, accommodation and cooking.
Traveling also creates an opportunity to learn a new language. Being able to speak

This paradigm explains that this study focuses on answering the question Which
is the best way of traveling, alone or with someone? This serves as a concept map of the
whole research. Even so, it’s the researcher’s goal to find out what are the benefits of
traveling alone/ with someone. In the concept map, the first phase has which is the best
way of traveling, alone or with someone? as the input. For the second phase the
researcher will gather data from the internet or the media to be analyzed. The third phase
will be the best way of traveling as the answer and will stand as the output or result of the
study.

FOREIGN STUDIES:
Concepts such as ‘performance’, ‘image’, or ‘space’, which are at the core of the
study of culture and literature are not univocal or firmly established terms. Hence,
they constitute what Bal, in her eponymous book, has called ‘travelling concepts’.
In volume that seeks to explore the journeys of some key concepts and their
effects on the study of culture it is certainly worth recalling that the concept of

travel to refer to the constant transfer. Jurgen Habermas (1987: 322), he maintains
that theories always travel both in space and in time, continually altering their
shape as they traverse distances one academic context to another and being
inflected by the field in which they are used. The journeys of theories are
If the only viable future for tourism is sustainable tourism then ways should be
sought to increase the demand for sustainable offers. The purpose of this paper is
to explore whether sustainability values influence the travel needs of students.
The aim is to discover cues in the present behaviour of young tourists that can
enhance sustainable travel choices and therefore secure the future of the tourism
industry. Moreover, the study provides a solid basis for predicting the future
travel behaviour of young tourists. (Cavagnaro & Staffieri, 2015)

Decision Making
People from different cultures tend to have different ways of making decisions,
based on the emphasis they place on different phases of the decision making
process. Studies have also suggested that people from divergent national cultures

Independent travel is good because you have to solve all your own problems. You

This chapter presents the methods to be used in this study. It also describes
the subjects of the study, the instruments used, and the procedure of data gathering. This

This is a qualitative study which used survey and questionnaire were utilized for
data collection. The researchers sought in-depth understanding of whether comfort food
alleviates stress. This research will use descriptive design in determining the level of self-
behavior, situation or experiences that is used to answer the questions of “why, when,

From the 10 data sources, the most common benefits of traveling alone is
that you will have freedom about what you choose. The traveler chooses where to
go, how to go there, and what to do when he/her get there. Many people choose to
travel alone because of the fact that there’s more freedom than traveling with
someone. One of the most common benefits of traveling alone is that you will
have a lot of time for yourself, reflecting about the things you do, and thinking
more interesting moments with their friends. If there’s a problem they could ask
each other for help and they will feel enjoyable with you and vice versa. When it
comes to expenses traveling with a companion can save a lot of money because
you share the money you use for traveling it means it will cut your expenses in
half if you travel with someone. It also helps you to have someone to enjoy the

will be a problem. Because of the fact that you don’t have someone to share your

Specifically, this study intends to answer the following questions (1) What are
the benefits of traveling alone and with a companion? (2) What are the disadvantages of
traveling alone/ traveling with someone? (3) Which is more preferred, traveling alone/

Conclusions
Traveling alone may be a good way to focus on what you think, or maybe it fits on
people that wants to be alone. But real travel does not mean your just going somewhere
to go and sightseeing. It means having fun and memories that cannot be taken away from
a person’s mind, body, and soul. Having fun and creating memories is better when you’re
with someone, mostly your own family, friends and love ones. This research proves that
