Blue Badge Discount Registration – Next Steps

Thank you for your recent application for the 100% Congestion Charge Blue Badge Discount.
In order to complete this process, please provide us with a copy of both sides of your
Blue Badge, together with one of the following proofs of identity in the name of the badge
holder, within 10 working days of the date of this letter:

• Pension Entitlement Letter (less than 7 months old)

• DWP Benefit Entitlement Letter (less than 7 months old)
• Current Bank or Credit Card Statement (not more than 3 months old)
• Current Passport
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Birth Certificate (same first and last names as Blue Badge)
• Institutional Blue Badge Holder Letter

If we do not receive these documents within 10 working days of the date of this letter, your
application will be cancelled and you will receive a refund for the £10 registration charge.

Until you receive confirmation of your discount, you must continue to pay the daily charges
applicable to your vehicle, if you drive within the Congestion Charging zone, Ultra Low
Emission Zone (ULEZ) and Low Emission Zone (LEZ).

Failure to pay the required charge(s) may result in Penalty Charge Notice(s) being issued for
one or more of the schemes.

The central London Congestion Charge operates Monday to Friday 7am-6pm and weekends
and Bank Holidays 12pm (noon)-6pm, every day of the year, excluding Christmas Day to the
New Year’s Day Bank Holiday (inclusive). The ULEZ operates 24 hours a day, every day of
the year, excluding Christmas Day. The LEZ operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
