1. What does architects do?
-Architects are works for construction company and design buildings, produces plans.

2. What is the best part and worst part.


The best: designing comfortable spaces that people can live and use, coming up with concept
and designs for unique situations and seeing a completed project.
The worst: most of students finish university with big ideas but almost 99% of architects are end
up working in a small studio drawing something.

3. What is flammability testing? Why it’s important.


Flammability testing covers several different testing protocols and methods intended to measure a
material’s vulnerability, including its susceptibility to an ignition source, and the rate at which it will
burn when ignited.

4. Could you name some flammable and inflammable materials.


Flammable- coal, kerosene, gasoline etc
Inflammable- brick, stone, glass, etc

Part 2

1. Which of these three people travel the most and least? (an architect, a field service engineer,
quality controller)
- I think it’s a field service engineer. They spend a lot of time driving from place to place.
2. Which of them make the most money? Why?
- According to indeed.com they said architects make 85000-77000 thousand dollars per year.
I think the reason they got more payment from others it’s because they work long hours.
3. What is your major? Could you tell some reason why you chose your major?
- My major is Microbiologist. I chose this major because it’s really interesting. But it’s really
dangerous. If you do one wrong step in laboratory. You can latterly hurt somebody or
yourself.
4. How often do you use internet? How and what purpose do you use?
- I use internet all the time. Listening to music, reading online books, and know about what is
happening in the world right now. But I usually use phone apps. Example: Dualingo language
learning app. It’s really easy to use and you can learn any language you want.
5. If you combine hot oil and water, what happens?
- Hot oil has a temperature that is much higher than water. When water touch hot oil they
suffer a flash vaporization and sudden increase in volume leads to the violent splashing.

1. Shift-move or cause to move from one place to another, especially over a small distance:
- a team from the power company came to shift the cables away from the house.
- the roof cracked and shifted.
2. Analyze-examine something methodically and in detail, typically in order to explain and interpret

- We need to analyze our result more clearly.

Part 4

Look at the picture. Talk about the person’s job and responsibilities.

He is warehouse manager. He’s responsibility is receives shipments and checks quantities. It looks like a
kind of warehouse. All must be stored in their numbers. I think his job little bit hard because he needs to
check everything. If he made one mistake it can be maybe really big problem.
