I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the session, the students should be able to:
a. Identify OSH in controlling Hazards and Risks. (Computer Lab.)
b. Apply OSH in controlling hazards/risks in the workplace correctly.
c. Value the importance of applying correct OSH in controlling hazards and risks in our daily lives.

7. Motivation (Teacher plays a short video clip)

-I have observed that unsafe working conditions affect
worker’s health and productivity.

8. Presentation of Objectives
- Today we are going to learn on Occupational Safe and
Health practices in controlling Hazards and Risks. But
before that let us know the objectives that will guide us
with our lesson.

11. Lesson Proper

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is a planned
system of working to prevent illness and injury where you
work by recognizing and identifying hazards and risks.
Health and
safety procedure is the responsibility of all persons in the
computer and technology industries. You must identify the
hazards where you are working and decide how dangerous
they are. Eliminate the hazard or modify the risk that it
presents.

12. Activity
Group students into 3. Let them list OSH applied in
computer laboratory.
- Now we will have an activity. The same group you
have on our drill a while ago. I want you to list the three
steps used to manage health and safety at work.
13. Analysis
1. Are there similarities/differences in OSH identified in
the different workplace mentioned?
(Students are doing the activity given)
-Yes, there are similarities, just like Having a Clean and
dry floor, keeping all the cleaning equipment and
materials placed in a drawer and putting labels on
different chemicals being used.
- Some of the differences is that a computer laboratory has
lots of computer where we are more exposed on hazards

Hazards in the workplace. Group 2 (TV
Broadcasters) make a TV interview of OSH
Procedures, and group 3 (Artists) will present a
drama of OSH procedures.
