Very good! Today we are going to

discuss a new lesson.
C. Motivation Before we start, let’s play a game
entitled “Picture Puzzle”

So here is the mechanics:

1. I will group you into three
groups.
2. Each of the grouped students
will be assigned to form one puzzle
into a picture of something that may
cause harm.
3. I will ask students what they
have formed and how are these
pictures related to the topic for today.
* A song will be played and will serve
as their timer.
Are we clear? Yes teacher!
Great work class! The activity has a
connection with our topic today.

D. Presentation of the Objectives

Our topic for today is about hazards
and risks in the workplace.
At the end of the lesson, students are
able to:
1. Differentiate the hazard and
risk;
2. Identify and explain the
different hazards that can be seen in the
workplace;
3. Establish and recognize
contingency measures to maintain
safety at work; and
4. Practice the occupational
health and safety procedures.

A hazard is any source of potential

damage, harm or adverse health effects
on something or someone under certain
conditions at work.
Risk is the chance or probability that a
person will be harmed or experience an
adverse health effect if exposed to a
hazard. It may also apply to situations
with property or equipment loss
