Our topic for today is about hazards
and risks in the workplace.
At the end of the lesson, students are
able to:
1. Differentiate the hazard and
risk;
2. Identify and explain the
different hazards that can be seen in the
workplace;
3. Establish and recognize
contingency measures to maintain
safety at work; and
4. Practice the occupational
health and safety procedures.

A hazard is any source of potential

damage, harm or adverse health effects
on something or someone under certain
conditions at work.
Risk is the chance or probability that a
person will be harmed or experience an
adverse health effect if exposed to a
hazard. It may also apply to situations
with property or equipment loss
