COT INDICATOR 4:
Displayed proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino, and English
to facilitate teaching and learning.
D. Discussing New
Concepts and The six main categories of hazards and risks in DOMRAC
Practicing New workstations:
Skill #1
1. Electricity: common accidents in the workplace can result
from contact with faulty electrical equipment that may have
become “live” or from contact with worn or damaged power
cords and switches, the presence of water in the shop increases
the risk of electrocution or injury.

2. Chemical: chemicals used in the DOMRAC like refrigerant,

can cause skin irritations and respiratory problems. Chemical
hazards can be obtained from the product labels.

3. Slips, trips, and fall: Slips, trips and falls are common
occurrences in workplaces. People slip and trip on slippery,
rough, or uneven surfaces and may fall from stairs or off
ladders.

4. Fire- The range, number, and 'portability' of electrical

equipment used in the RAC shop, together with their
proximity to water, make for potentially hazardous situations.
5. Ergonomic: These are a result of physical factors such as
poor workstation, poor posture, and manual handling.

6. Psychosocial: An adverse effect on someone’s mental health

such as sexual harassment, bullying, stress, and workplace
violence.

COT INDICATOR 8:
Adapted and used culturally appropriate teaching strategies to
address the needs of learners from indigenous groups.

Okay, pananglitan naa moy mga classmates na differently able

“nay mga kapansanan” o kaha naa moy ma classmates na usa
ka miyembro sa indigenous people (IP). Unsay pwedeng
mamahimong sitwasyon na ma bully o ma stress inyong
classmates sa workstation?
1. Dile nimo tagdon or dile nimo paapilon sa group activity,
kini mamahimong butang aron ma stress o ma isolate imong
classmate og dile na sya ganahan mo eskwela kay inyo mang i-
bully. Hatagan og example (experience in Elizalde NHS).
Unsa kaha didto ang mamahimong hazard? Tao ang hazard
and risk kay ma isolate o ma bully na imong classmate na
mamahimong hinungdan aron dile na sya ganahan mopadayon
og eskwela.

Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED)- Culturally

responsive can improve academic outcomes for indigenous
learners and promote the success of all students equally.
However, indigenous peoples are a heterogeneous group, with
unique histories, languages, cultural practices, and ways of
operating within the classroom.

E. Discussing New The workplace should have safety guidelines to follow:

Concepts and
Practicing New  Protect people from injury.
Skill #2  Protect equipment from damage.
 Protect the environment from contamination.

Safety Precautions when working:

 Always ground or discharge yourself before touching

any RAC electrical equipment and machinery.
 Do not work alone so that someone can take care of
you in case of an accident or emergency.
 Be careful with the tools that may cause short circuits.
 Use only rubber shoes when standing on the ground or
on a concrete floor.
 Take away any unnecessary liquid such as minerals,
water, or soft drinks near your working area.
 PPE is correctly used by organization procedures and
practices.
 Hazards/risks in the workplace and their
corresponding indicators are identified to minimize or
eliminate risks to co-workers, the workplace, and the
environment.
 Read and follow instructions in the manual carefully.

Ask the learners if there is any question about the lesson.
