extinguishes fires, responds to accidents and other incidents that involve the
endangerment of lives, properties and environment. He also rescues people
and animals from danger. He trains every day so he can be fit for duty and is
always ready to respond to emergencies.

Sometimes, Encik Abdul promotes fire safety via talks, advice and training
sessions at schools and corporate offices. During these sessions, he
demonstrates the use of firefighting equipment and perform fire drills so
citizens are aware of what to do in case of a fire. Other times, he works with
the police and ambulance service personnel to share knowledge. Although
Encik Abdul’s work can be stressful and dangerous, he gets a lot of great
satisfaction from doing it as he’s able to help and provide such valuable
