Golden Heritage Polytechnic College recently concluded
their 36th Foundation and Intramurals, themed
"Sovereignty through sportsmanship: Goldeneans uniting
for recreation and unity." This event marked a triumphant
return after the years of lockdown caused by the pandemic.
It was a joyous occasion filled with exciting activities and
remarkable displays of talent.

The highlight of the event was the crowning of Ms. Golden


Heritage 2023. Jessa Pajaron, a graduating student from the
Bachelor of Science in Office Administration program,
emerged as the winner. Her stunning performance and
strong advocacies captivated both the audience and the
judges, making her a deserving recipient of the title. This
beauty and brain competition showcased not only the
contestants' physical beauty but also their remarkable
talents and intelligence. The first runner-up position was
secured by Quenne Deala, a student from the Bachelor of
Secondary Education program. Johaira Pundag, a Bachelor
of Science in Office Administration student, claimed the

The intramurals at Golden Heritage Polytechnic College took place on November 21 and 26, 2023. These recreational sports activities were organized to
promote fun, exercise, and engagement among the students. Participating in such events not only allowed students to interact with their peers but also
helped them develop valuable attributes such as confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork. On the days leading up to the intramurals, students were busy
preparing for various activities. They practiced their final choreography for dance activities, while others focused on sports like basketball, takraw, and
badminton. Chess competitions I saw teams strategizing to secure victory, and students gathered in the auditorium to rehearse their intermission
numbers.

The excitement among the students was palpable as they eagerly awaited the Ms. Golden Heritage 2023 pageant and the college and high school modern
dance and Zumba dance competition. The preparations and dedication put into these events were evident on the faces of the participants, who expressed
genuine happiness and excitement. The opening of the 36th foundation and intramurals of Golden Heritage Polytechnic College took place on November
20, 2023. Before the event kicked off, a thanksgiving mass was held on campus, serving as a guiding prayer for the activities to come. Students were
required to attend, emphasizing the importance of spirituality and unity.

The Contestants for the pageants were busy getting ready in their respective rooms, preparing their outfits and make-up. Meanwhile, other students
engaged in games and karaoke, enjoying the festive atmosphere on campus. The crowning of Ms. Golden Heritage and Little Miss Golden marked the
beginning of the pageant, with the entire campus filled with students supporting their favorite candidates. The contestants exuded confidence and
determination to win the crown, creating an exhilarating atmosphere. The night ended with the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA)
student winning the title of Ms. Golden Heritage.

The second day of the intramurals focused on the modern dance and Zumba dance, where students anxiously awaited the dance performances of each
department. The BSOA department emerged as the champion, followed closely by the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) students. The
competition was intense and thrilling, leaving everyone on the edge of their seats.

The following days showcased various sports competitions, with students proudly showcasing their beloved sports. The intramurals not only created
lasting memories but also taught valuable lessons to the students, instructors, professors, and coaches. It fostered mutual trust, friendship, and strong
bonds that will be cherished for a lifetime. Additionally, the sports fest provided a much-needed break from the hectic schedules of classes and activities,
serving as a temporary relief from stress and promoting positive mental health.

In conclusion, the intramurals at Golden Heritage Polytechnic College were a resounding success. The event brought joy, excitement, and valuable lessons
to the students and the entire college community. It served as a reminder to enjoy every moment of college life and provided an avenue for personal

36th Golden Heritage Foundation and Intramurals

A new day has come Goldenians ! I have an exciting sports news report for you today from
Golden Heritage Polytechnic College's 36th Foundation and Intramural event. The students
have been showcasing their impressive skills and determination to win, truly smashing their
limits!

In the men's singles division, the first game took place between the Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration (BSBA) and the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA)
departments. The game was intense, with both players giving it their all

EDGAR LAGOBIS In the first set, the BSBA player displayed smart strategies and conquered the court, winning
BSOA
with a score of 17-12. However, the BSOA player remained calm and unbothered, ready to
make a comeback. And a comeback it was! In the second set, the BSOA player started taking the game more seriously, eager to hit the
shuttlecock and swing to success. With a score of 16-10, the BSOA player won the second set, leveling the playing field.

The tension was high as the third set began. Both players were
determined to give their all, with every hit and serve counting
towards victory. It was a thrilling match, with the players spreading
their wings, taking names, and hitting the racket for that one last
score.

After a fierce battle, the third set concluded, and the winner
emerged as the representative from the Bachelor of Science in
Office Administration department.

Both players showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the game,


with smiles on their faces regardless of the outcome.
This sports fest at Golden Heritage Polytechnic College is not only
breaking barriers among the students but also building brilliant ideas
and creating unforgettable experiences that will be cherished for a
lifetime.
