A Port is shared facility, chartered by government

authority, to provide a place where many different service


Port providers can operate conveyances to discharge and take
on freight.

An Airport is a tract of land, or water, with facilities for the


landing, takeoff, shelter, supply and repair of aircraft,
including those used for both passenger travel and
Airport receiving or discharging cargo at regularly scheduled times.

An Airport Terminal Retail Facility is location in an airport


terminal where goods are sold to retail consumers (i.e.,
Airport Terminal Retail Facility passengers). This location could be within an Free Trade
Zone (FTZ).

An Airport Hangar is a building to hold aircraft for

service provider is expected to provide a limited amount of
short-term storage at the facility before a container is
loaded and after it is unloaded. If a container dwells in the

subject to additional charges.

An Ocean Container Yard (CY) is a facility for the collection


and storage of containers to be loaded on a vessel or

A Rail Yard is a facility where trains are assembled.


Activities include loading and unloading rail cars, breaking

managed (e.g., Lufthansa, Swiss Port) facility that
specializes in moving freight into and out of Unit Load

(CFS) grounds. This could be an agent of the service provider
we're using.

A Rail Container Freight Station (CFS) is a warehouse


owned and operated by a service provider that handles
Rail Container Freight freight that travels by rail. This could be an agent of the
Station (CFS) service provider we're using.

A Ocean Container Freight Station (CFS) is a warehouse


owned and operated by a service provider that handles
Ocean Container Freight freight that travels by ocean. An Ocean CFS is always at an

we're using.

A Ground Container Freight Station (CFS) is a warehouse

A Service Provider Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Warehouse is a

Provider-managed facility, contracted by Expeditors,
