Weaknesses

➢ Limited distribution platform as the products were only sold in the City of Tuguegarao.
Selling on a limited platform made a huge blunder in our performance as consumers know where to
buy longganisa as well as the pastillas and are more familiar with market price here in Tuguegarao
City. Limited platform means limited buyers, limited buyers means poor performance.
➢ Reliance on social media platforms as the primary means of promoting the products.
Social media may be a great help in promoting business, but based on our page performance and
promotion skills through social media it is no doubt a bit of a failure. A very few people only know
about the page and relying on it didn’t improve the sales of our product.
➢ Lack of retailers to sell more goods in a specified time.
There were only 6 members of the group and we cannot cover the whole area when our skills are
still lacking in persuading the buyers. The lack of retailers made a poor amount of sales within the
specified time as not everyone in the area would want to buy our product.

Threats
➢ Competition from existing Longganisa and Pastillas brands available in the market.
As I have said earlier, the buyers in the area know where to buy the authentic products and know
the market price where they can get it lower. Or they have a trusted seller that they can buy
whenever. The competition in selling longganisa here in Tuguegarao is fierce and you can almost
see longganisa sellers everywhere. Therefore, the selling of our products fluctuated greatly as there
were different and trusted sellers everywhere.
➢ Economic downturns or fluctuations that may affect the purchasing power of consumers.
The inflation rate here in the Philippines made the prices rise and it affected the buyers greatly and
are being aware of the prices in the market. The purchasing power they hold were obviously
affected and may buy to sellers with lower prices.
➢ Changes in consumer preferences and priorities that may affect the demand for the products.
Consumers have a preferred flavor and taste concerning the product they are about to buy. There
were times that the consumer would want a spicy longganisa or sweet longganisa as they don’t like
the taste of garlic. There were also times where they only liked the strawberry flavored pastillas
because it tickles their sweet tooth. Those times were a bit hectic as how consumers displayed their
taste and preference were not aligned with what we offered. Their taste differs on what we offer
and it greatly affects the demand on our products.
