Class: ………… /……………
Academic Year:
2023/2024
First Semester
Dear learners and respectable parents,
We are pleased to provide you with this “Enrichment Guide” which is part of a series of updated
and developed worksheets in all subjects, prepared and revised by our schools’ teachers and under
the supervision of a group of experts, consultants and university professors specialized in preparing
the educational material and the assessment tools. These will be helpful enough for our students to
understand the content and achieve the intended learning outcomes. They will also develop their
skills and their potentials to be effective citizens who stick to values and are able to think, interact
and face problems in creative ways, and at the same time, achieve academic distinction in a climate
of joy and happiness. Because of the importance of both types of questions (Objective and
Subjective) in acquiring and evaluating knowledge and motivating learning, we have been keen to:
1- Discuss and solve all textbook activities and exercises in the classroom and during the lesson, in
the spaces allocated in the textbook, and if there is not enough space for the answer, it has to be
written in an external copybook for the subject. 2- Prepare various additional questions and
activities in the worksheets from different resources, including (supplementary books, the Egyptian
Knowledge Bank (EKB), the Digital Library and the creativity of our teachers) that measure the
critical and creative thinking of the learners and are consistent with the new education system 2.0.
3- Add multiple guiding model exams, including the previous years' examinations. In the questions
and exercises of the worksheets, we took into account the percentage of the different levels of
knowledge, and the prescribed percentage of the objective or subjective questions for each grade
according to the specifications prepared by the National Center for Examinations and Educational
Evaluation, and approved by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. We have not
neglected the importance of the daily communication between the school and parents regarding
everything related to our dear students, as each lesson in the worksheets ends up with “The
Communication Box” which is a space dedicated to this communication. And in order to use
modern technologies and the Internet to activate the flipped learning strategy that takes us to the
education phase (3.0) and allows the learner to search, read and think, the worksheets are provided
with a template (Think .. Search .. Share) that precedes each lesson. The learner is required to think
and strive in recording ideas and information in that template, with the help of his family, members
of his group in the class, and the various learning resources that are predetermined to him by the
teacher. These resources include the textbooks, educational videos, audio files and other media
prepared by our teachers, so that the learners can see them at home, using their computers or smart
phones before attending the lesson, while class time is devoted to discussions, projects, exercises and
.feedback. This turns the learner from a passive recipient into a positive researcher
This new vision in this year's worksheets, makes them suitable for all conditions of
education and learning close or distance - to cope with any emergency circumstances.
They are of multiple sources. However, this does not prevent us from directing our
students to further research into different sources. To keep up with scientific
developments in the field of positive education, and to achieve self-discipline, add
more joy and a sense of fun, and to increase academic achievement, our schools have
done the following:
• Created a strategy of magic cards (white and red) that was registered in the name of
our schools on the Educational Discovery Website. It was implemented and had a
great impact on the self-discipline of our students and the modification of their daily
behaviors.
• Established a special Department of Happiness, of which our schools are proud of
being the first to establish. This Department is keen on carrying out many interesting
and attractive activities and events to delight students, parents and staff in our
schools. We hope that you will enjoy studying this “Enrichment Guide”, benefit from
it in your scientific and practical life, and through it, you contribute to achieving the
good and the development of our beloved country, Egypt. May Allah help you and
bless you all.
Dr. Almandouh El Husseiny
The Chairman of the Board of Directors
Our dear learners,
These are some important instructions and guidelines you should know before you start using the
worksheets:
You have to write down your ideas related to the topic of the new lesson, which you reached
through thinking, research, reading and analysis in the (Think .. Search .. Share) form before
the teacher explains the lesson, as this is compatible with the principles and foundations of the
(Flipped Classroom) as one of the modern teaching and learning strategies. The help of the
parents, all family members and the members of your group is required. This encourages self
and lifelong learning, bearing in mind that the process of evaluating these ideas and
information that you wrote down in the form is a self-process that takes place after the
teacher explains the lesson. You have to read the questions well to understand what is
required, think about the answer, and then write them clearly and in good language.
The school administration confirms that the group that presents the best ideas and
information obtained from the family, teacher and documented sources will be rewarded with
white cards that will be exchanged for points. The winning groups will have priority in
ranking among the first students and honoring.
It is sufficient to assign students from Prim 1 to Prim 5 to write down the objectives of the
new lesson, and the ideas and information that can be deduced about the topic of this lesson.
You have to read the questions in the worksheets well to understand what is required, think
about the answer, and then write it clearly and in good language.
You have to answer the question bank and the guided model exams yourself at home under
the supervision of the parents and not during the lessons. You can refer to your teacher to
facilitate what you inquire about in all of the above.
Dear learner, you should always remember that to make the best benefit of the worksheets
in your hands depends on your interest, your concern for practice and positive interaction
with your colleagues and your teacher within the classroom, as well as your family outside the
school.
Dear Parents:
You need to record all your feedback and inquiries and any problem your son faces at
school in the communication box. It is the first communication window with the school.
For the interest of the student, the model answers to the textbook questions will be sent
after the end of each unit, on the Google Classroom platform to benefit from them and to
reinforce what the student has learned.
In the interest of your son's benefit and distinction, we kindly ask you not to use these
worksheets outside our schools; it is an authentic and documented right of ours; this is to
.protect the school's intellectual property rights

1- Read and answer the questions:
The Ancient Egyptians loved strong perfumes. The most popular perfume
was called kapet. It was expensive because it had a lot of ingredients,
some of which were difficult to find. But it also had a few common herbs in
it, like rosemary and mint, and spices like cardamom and cinnamon.
Cheaper perfumes were made from flowers, herbs, and some types of
minerals, then mixed with oil to make a cream. Or they pressed the dry
ingredients into a cone shape to make incense. In Ancient Egyptian
paintings, you can often see men and women wearing these perfume
cones on their heads at festivals!
