DODECAGON
The "Dodecagon" series was created by Ronald Davis. To construct these works, he used a
variety of approaches, including geometric abstraction and manipulation of form, color, and
perspective. His "Dodecagon" pieces were created between the late 1960s and the 1970s,
demonstrating his research of geometric shapes and optical effects inside the dodecagon
framework throughout that time period.

a.Rhythm, Movement: Rhythm and movement are most likely expressed in "Dodecagon"
through the usage of repetitive geometric forms or patterns. The twelve sides of a dodecagon
may create a sense of flow or visual movement throughout the artwork.

b. Balance: The artwork may achieve balance by arranging shapes, colors, or patterns in a
symmetrical or structured pattern within the dodecagon, providing a sense of equilibrium or
stability.

c. Emphasis: A specific section or aspect inside the artwork may stand out, creating
emphasis. Color contrast, size fluctuation, or a focal point within the dodecagon could all be
used to achieve this.

d. Harmony, Unity, and Variety: "Dodecagon" could show harmony and unity by repeating
similar forms or colors to create a coherent whole. Meanwhile, subtle changes in shape sizes,
colors, or textures may be used to add variety.

e. Proportion: The artwork could show proportional relationships between the pieces inside
the dodecagon, making sure that the proportions and ratios of shapes or forms feel balanced
and visually pleasing.
CHRONOGRAPHY
" Chronography" (2015) is an artwork by Olga Kisseleva that investigates the relationship
between art and time through numerous mediums and techniques, frequently including
technology and interactive components.

a. Rhythm, Movement: To generate a sense of movement across the timeline, Kisseleva's "
Chronography" may employ rhythmic patterns or directional signals. This could be
accomplished by arranging events or objects to guide the viewer's attention through the
movement of time in a fluid, dynamic manner.

b. Balance: The chronography most likely achieves visual balance by uniformly dispersing
elements, timelines, or artistic periods across the artwork. Kisseleva achieves a harmonic
visual balance inside the piece by symmetrical placement or asymmetrical designs.

c. Emphasis: Certain events or periods within the chronology may be emphasized by using
different sizes, colors, or location. This highlights crucial moments or significant transitions in
art history, directing the viewer's attention accordingly.

d. Harmony, Unity, and Variety: To achieve harmony and unity across the chronography,
Kisseleva may use a consistent visual language, such as a recurrent color scheme or stylistic
features. Simultaneously, she may offer diversity by showing distinct artistic movements or
contrasting components to avoid boredom and keep viewers engaged.

e. Proportion: Proportion can be used in chronography to accurately portray the relative

importance or duration of distinct creative periods. Scaling elements or timelines in
proportion to their historical significance or impact on the art world could be part of this.
