CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the findings, interpretation, and analyses of gathered data of the
study. The results and discussion were based on the framework of the study.

1. Percentage of Isopropyl alcohol when mixed with distilled water

The findings have shown that 50% Isopropyl alcohol has a 50.10% solution, the lowest
value in all percentage. While 80% Isopropyl alcohol has 80.16% solution which is higher and
the most effective. 90% Isopropyl alcohol has a 99.20% solution which is the highest. The
recommended percentage for a solution is 60-80% which proves 80% Isopropyl alcohol to be
the most effective.

The percentage of the solutions are obtained through the use of a formula which is 70ml of %
IPA = 30 ml of distilled water = 100ml % IPA.
 2. Percentage of chlorine when mixed with distilled water

The findings have shown that 50% Chlorine has a 0.2% solution, the lowest value in all
percentage. While 60% Chlorine has 0.3% solution. 70% Chlorine has a 0.5% solution and it is
the recommended percentage for a solution.

3. The Opinion of the respondents about the Study.

All the respondents in this midst of pandemic every hygiene product matters especially
alcohol that can kill bacteria’s rapidly. They could say that having a water based disinfectant is
truly relevant and necessary in the current situations. Water based disinfectant uses light
ingredients that do not lead to skin irritations unlike alcohol-based product that can produce to
skin discoloration that do not lead to skin irritations unlike alcohol-based products that can
produce to skin discoloration and allergies. The air humidifier can help every house because it
cleans the air, and it can also prevent the virus from entering. The usage of air humidifier can
make the house to be lively since it can help their health to be better. It is more convenient to
the people surrounding in the equipment. Thus, humidifier can also help to prevent on the
bacteria that people can get plus distance can make them to be more careful from one another.
He can help the air humidifier move properly because someone prevented the humidifier from
hitting the walls.
