150 IMPORTANT: Do not force probes into connector terminals or damage will result. Use JT07328 Connector
42 Adapter Test Kit to make measurements in connectors. This will ensure that terminal damage does not
occur.

1 Check for Blank 1. Ignition ON, engine OFF. YES: GO TO 2


Diagnostic Gauge
2. View diagnostic gauge display. NO: GO TO 3

Is diagnostic gauge display blank?

2 Check Diagnostic 1. Ignition OFF, engine OFF. YES: Replace diagnostic


Gauge Voltage gauge. 6
Supply 2. Disconnect diagnostic gauge 6-pin connector.
NO: Fix problem. GO TO 6
3. Perform Terminal Test on connector.

4. Ignition ON, engine OFF.

5. On the harness, measure the voltage from the diagnostic gauge connector ignition
supply (terminal 1) to the connector ground (terminal 6).

Are terminal test results good and is voltage within 1V of battery voltage?

3 Check ECU 1. Ignition ON, engine OFF. YES: GO TO 4


Communication
2. Attempt to connect Service ADVISOR to ECU. NO: Discontinue this test
and perform test D1.
Does Service ADVISOR connect to the ECU?

2. On the harness, measure the resistance between the diagnostic gauge CAN High

(terminal 2) and diagnostic connector CAN High (terminal C). NO: Fix CAN wiring. GO

Are both resistance measurements less than 10 ohms?

2. Reconnect all electrical connectors. NO: GO TO 1

3. Ignition ON, engine ON.

4. Check diagnostic gauge operation.

Does diagnostic gauge display engine information?
