Dear Miss Thompson,

My name is Hannah Morini, a special education intern from Geneva College working with Miss
Brasko at Rochester Elementary School for the past few months. After receiving your approval
to work with your son, Ayden, on his reading skills, I am pleased to say what a delight this
endeavor has been. He actively participated in the reading lessons and treated me just as a
second teacher.

Ayden has made great progress the last few months. We have been working on his overall
reading skills while focusing on decoding CVC words (words like cat, rat, pet) and constructing
sentences. Ayden has worked really hard and his efforts have definitely been successful. I think
constructing sentences is still a difficult area for Ayden, but I feel he has made progress toward
the mastery of reading CVC words. He appeared to enjoy all of the lessons I planned for him
and I think he has gained confidence from them. His greatest strength is his memory and
comprehension skills. When he is focused, he can repeat anything you read to him! He has
grasped many effective decoding skills in order to read words accurately. I truly believe that his
growth in his reading skills will give him more motivation to have an interest in reading.

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to work with Ayden. He is truly a bundle of joy
and I was honored to work with him throughout the semester.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Miss. Brasko by calling the
school at 724-847-1234.

Sincerely,

Hannah Morini
