(A)External costs
1. Advertising and Marketing Expense – expenses related to advertising or marketing for a
specific requisition or across many requisitions including job boards, social networks, search
engine marketing, marketing material production (brochure, websites) or newspaper.

(B) Internal costs–

1. Background Checks and Eligibility to Work Screening – expenses related to criminal,


education, work eligibility and reference checks on prospective hire.
2. Pre-screening Fees – expenses related to the validated skills assessments, trial project or work
assignment, or other standardized measure to pre-screen talent prior to employment.
