I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:

A. Explain about their own professional experiences and skills.

B. Respond quickly with relevant answers, as well as with manners.

C. Deliver an effective persuasive speech.

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cup!
Instructions:
The teacher will divide the class into two groups.
Each group should have three representatives to play the game, while the rest of
the group members will analyze the questions and come up with an answer.
The teacher will say “head, shoulders, knees, and cup!” in random sequence and
the students will put their hands on the part of the body where the teacher says.
When the teacher says “cup”, the players from each group should pick up the
cup.
Whoever gets the cup first will be the one who can answer the question.
If they did not get the right answer, the other group has the chance to answer.

The teacher will present a video in front of the students that is


connected to the new topic and then the teacher will ask the
students about the video.

After this, the teacher will proceed to discuss the new lesson by
presenting the powerpoint.
IV. Application
After the discussion about persuasive speaking the teacher will give the learners an activity
where they can apply the lesson they have just learned.

Instruction:
Imagine yourself having a job interview and the employer asked you to describe yourself.
Your answer plays an important role in whether you will get the job or not.
Write a persuasive answer, describing yourself as someone who their company needs.
Your answer should consist of 5-10 sentences only.
V. Valuing

The teacher will tell the students the importance of having the
knowledge and skills in persuasive speaking, especially
in job interviews.
VI. Generalization

The teacher will sum up everything they have tackled in the lesson
and will leave key points for the learners to remember.
VII. Evaluation
The teacher will give the learners a short quiz regarding the things to
consider in Choosing a Persuasive Speech Topic.

The video should be 1-2 minutes long only.
