1. GENERAL
1.1. Design Philosophy
The structure is analyzed in elastic conditions using a direct stiffness method and also the
structure is modeled as a 3-dimensional structure. Structures are designed in ultimate condition
by using boundary strength design methods and using capacity design philosophy. And for the
calculation of earthquake neglected because of insufficient data. Anchor and foundation
calculated by excel formula.

1.2.3. Modeling
Modelling using program Sofware STAAD Pro 2007 for steel structure. For Foundation
calculation using Excel formula
1.2.4. Layout
2. LOADING DATA
The loads on the design of steel structures can consist of dead loads. Life Load. Wind loads and
Combination Loads. The loads planned to work in the structure depend on the function of space,
location, shape of the height of the structure itself. The types of loads used in calculating steel
structures are Dead Load (DL), Wind Load (W) and Combination Load (C)
2.1. Dead Load (DL)
The dead loads are calculated from the member sizes and estimated material densities.
Where :
𝑞 = effective velocity pressure to be used in the appropriate equations to evaluate wind
pressures for MWFRS and C&C; qz at any height, z, above ground; qh is based on Kh at
mean roof height, h
𝐾𝑧 = exposure velocity pressure coefficient, which reflects change in wind speed with height and
terrain roughness (see Section 26.7)
𝐾𝑧 𝑡 = topographic factor that accounts for wind speed-up over hills and escarpments (see Section
26.8.2 and Fig. 26.8-1)
𝐾𝑑 = directionality factor (see Section 26.6 and Table 26.6-1)
𝑉 = basic wind speed, which is the 3-s gust speed at 33 ft above ground for Exposure Category
C and is associated with an annual probability appropriate for the risk category related to
building use
3.1. Wind load analytic
An estimated wind load of 120 km / h or equivalent to 40 kg / m2
1. Wind Load x
To facilitate the calculation of the x direction wind load that is by way of one way,
2. Wind Load Z
results of the analysis of each earthquake hazard level are displayed in the form of contours.
This 2010 Indonesian Earthquake Map is used as a basic reference for planning and designing
earthquake-resistant infrastructure including replacements for earthquake maps in the
Indonesian Earthquake Resilience Planning Standard (SNI-03-1726-2012).
