Brazil’s Atlantic coast is thousands of kilometers — Casa dos ven
long, with strong, powerful winds. The country
also benefits from remarkably abundant
sunshine. Clearly, Brazil has undeniable potential
in renewable energies. That’s why our Company
signed a major partnership agreement in October
2022 with Brazil’s Casa dos Ventos to develop,
build and operate a 12 GW portfolio of wind and
solar projects. This will contribute to our ambition
of producing 100 GW of renewable electricity
worldwide by 2030.

Angola’s diverse geography includes tropical beaches, a labyrinth
of rivers and streams and Sub-Saharan desert.
The country has a wealth of mining resources (iron, copper, gold, Entire country /
diamonds, etc.) and hydrocarbons. It is now turning to renewable Oil, Gas, Solar
energies with help from TotalEnergies, which is deploying its Angola on the Road to Multi-Energy
multi-energy strategy in this African country and contributing
to the sustainable, economic and social development of its host regions. July 28, 2022 - TotalEnergies is rolling out its
multi-energy strategy in Angola. It’s a first in a country
historically focused on hydrocarbons, where the
Company has been operating for nearly 70 years.
Three projects demonstrate our ambition to support
Angola in its energy transition by producing energy
with low carbon intensity and developing renewables
in a country with strong potential: the launch of the
Begonia oil field, the Quiluma and Maboqueiro gas
field developments and the first photovoltaic project
in the country, with a capacity of 35 MWp.

Reducing Methane Emissions:
AUSEA Continues its Adventures in
Gabon
October 2022 - A drone flying over Oil & Gas
facilities operated by TotalEnergies in Gabon
is fitted with leading-edge AUSEA technology
comprising a dual miniature sensor developed
by TotalEnergies, the French National Center for
Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University
of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. Its mission is to
detect and quantify methane and carbon dioxide
emissions from the sites. AUSEA’s campaign
began in March 2022, with a journey across
Africa, South America and Europe. This is a major
Gabon
step towards achieving our target of reducing
methane emissions at operated sites by 50% by
2025 and 80% by 2030.

is home to one of the world’s largest solar
power plants. Two million solar panels
cover the equivalent of 1,400 football
pitches, offering capacity of 800 megawatt-

the country’s peak power consumption and
will avoid 26 million tons of CO2 emissions
during its lifetime. Inaugurated on October
18, Al Kharsaah is the largest solar project
developed by TotalEnergies and the symbol
of our long-term partnership with Qatar in
