commercial and industrial businesses and in April

Two giants engaged in a hypnotizing dance as seagulls
flew overhead: the CMA CGM BALI, an LNG-powered
containership that sails between Asia and Southern
Europe, and the Gas Vitality, our second chartered LNG
under vessel. It was on site to refuel the CMA CGM
ship. The delicate operation, which took 15 hours and
mobilized some 30 sailors, was a success.
It demonstrated the industry’s commitment to cleaner
marine fuel, a key component in shipping’s energy
transition.

On October 4, 2022, TotalEnergies and Holcim signed
a Memorandum of Understanding to fully decarbonize
the Obourg cement plant. The goal is to capture, utilize
and store the some 1.3 million tons of CO2 emitted by
the plant each year. TotalEnergies will transport the
captured carbon to a facility producing e-fuel — a synfuel
combining CO2 and hydrogen — or to a geological
storage site in the North Sea. The agreement also calls
for the development of renewable projects to produce
green hydrogen and power Holcim’s new oxyfuel kiln.
