The gradient of a curve


The gradient of a straight line is the same at all points on the line.
However,the gradient, of a curve depends on where you are on the curve.
For example, the gradient of the curve h(Q = 35, - 3t2 is

Differentiating functions involving rational powers of x


The rule for differentiating f(x) =:ox' also applies when n is a rational number.
