Positive degree- compare with one person


Positive degree- he is as good as I.
He is not so tall as I.

Positive degree structure


Sub+ verb+ so/as + positive degree of adjective+
as+ another subject + extension (if any).
My brother is as intelligent as my uncle.
As……adj…….as (both for positive and negative
sentence) So……adj……as (only for negative
sentence)
Jahir is not so tall as Nahid.
Jahir is as tall as Nahid.

Comparative degree:
He is taller than I.
Comparative degree structure:
