About Woodmonks
The Wood Monks campsite is a serene haven for unwinding and
reconnecting with nature. At Wood Monks, we assist our guests in
discovering their inner peace within our lush and imaginative
environment. Situated just 15 kilometers from Meppadi town in
Wayanad district, Kerala, we take pride in our identity as nature
enthusiasts. Nestled amidst the verdant beauty of the Kalladi river
valley, this place is affectionately referred to as Kashmir Island.
Kashmir Island is a small paradise of wooded terrain enveloped by
lively streams on both sides, and Wood Monks campsite is
situated right across from it.
Furthermore, well-known tourist attractions such as Chembra
Peak, Soochipara Waterfalls, and 900 Woods are all within a 10-
kilometer radius of Wood Monks, making it an ideal location for
explorers and nature lovers alike.

Tent
Availability : Our pricing is set at 1500 per person. We offer both
three-person and four-person occupancy tents, with the majority of
our accommodations being three-person tents.

Facilities : Tents have been set up on the platform, and each of

them comes equipped with a rain cover for protection. Inside the
tents, you will find blankets and pillows.

Brook Shack
Availability: Three people in single shack means 1700 per head,
For two people in one shack means 1800 per head, for single person
it is 3000.

Facilities : It offers charging facilities, a compact wardrobe, and a

mirror. Additionally, there is a cozy seating area with a splendid view
overlooking a stream, accompanied by a massive swing.

Wood Cabana

Availability : For two guests in a cabana it will be 5000, For three or

more guests it will be 2000 per head.

Facilities : This accommodation comes with an en-suite bathroom,

convenient charging ports, a ceiling fan, and a heater to enhance
your comfort. Moreover, it boasts a breathtaking mountain view,
complemented by an even larger balcony. (It has a three sharing
bed, but if preferred, extra bed will be provided.)

Brook shack and tents shares the common washrooms.

Guests staying in the tents can utilize the common area for charging
their devices.

Common Instructions
We provide unique offbeat experiential stays rather than the luxury of
a resort. Woodmonks offers a true getaway immersed in natural
experience amidst the serene backdrop of beautiful streams and lush
trees.

The trekking activity is scheduled for 7:30 in the morning.

Dinner will be served exclusively in the dining area from 8:00pm to

9:30pm, followed by the arrangement of a campfire immediately
afterward.

Sound system is allowed till 10.30 pm.

We will be giving major priority to family guests.

Smoking is not allowed inside the dining area or play station.

Please utilize the waste bins and ensure the cleanliness of the
washrooms and the premises.

Trekking and campfire will be depending upon the weather conditions.

As this is a camping and glamping experience, we recommend

bringing essential items to minimize any unnecessary hassle and
commotion.

Responsible alcohol consumption is allowed, but we do not provide

any alcoholic beverages inside the property.

How to Reach
By Air

Calicut International Airport is the nearest airport from WM,

located at a distance of only 86 km from Meppadi. This airport
is connected to all national and international destinations
through frequent flights.

By Train

Nearest Railway Station is in Calicut Railway Station, 84 KM from

Woodmonks. You can either book a taxi from there or find the
bus route to Meppadi-Wayanad.

By Road

Distance between Kozhikode to WM is 84 KM. You can take

KSRTC buses services available 24/7 or can hire a taxi direct
to the destination. Bus Stand Kozhikode : 04952723796

Wayanad To Woodmonks
To reach, you can take a bus to Kalpetta. From Kalpetta, you can
catch another bus to Kalladi, and from there, we will arrange for
your transportation to our location.

Parking & Directions

If you're arriving by public transport, please make your way to Kalladi, a
small town just after Meppadi. We'll pick you up there.

For those with two-wheelers, you can drive directly to the property. We'll
provide directions. We will offer off-road video route assistance to ensure
you navigate the path effectively.

If you're arriving by car or any other vehicle, you can park in our designated
parking lot. Our jeep will then transport you to the property.

Google Maps directions to the parking area and Kalladi will be provided
upon booking. Further guidance will also provided during your journey.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 48 hours or more before arrival: 10% advance
payment charge, with the remainder refunded.

Cancellation between 48 to 24 hours before arrival: 50% advance

payment refund.

Cancellation within 24 hours of arrival: No advance payment

refund.
