Women Playwrights of Indy - The mission of Women Playwrights of Indy (WPI) is to showcase women

playwrights in the Indianapolis area by producing their original works on our various stages and

empowering them to advocate for gender equality in theater.

Title: Executive Director

Summary: The Executive Director manages all aspects of the organization’s business and administrative

operations.

Major Duties:

● Leads the board of directors during their meetings

● Organizes and manages fundraising efforts

● Aligns employees with the company goals and objectives

Summary: The Executive Director is primarily responsible for the organization’s long-term financial

health and growth.


Major Duties:

● Drives the financial planning of the company

● Constantly aware of the company’s financial status and acts quickly to prevent potential

problems

● Oversees the organization’s entire financial system

Reports to: Executive Director

Title: Director of Development

Summary: The Director of Development is primarily responsible for planning and implementing

fundraising plans.

Major Duties:

● Plans and evaluates fundraising campaigns and activities

● Manages the organization’s budget and fundraising programs

● Working close with prospective donors

Title: Program Director

Summary: The Program Director is primarily responsible for overseeing various programs within the

organization.

Major Duties:

● Develops and approves budgets and operations

● Hires and supervises program managers

● Reports status updates to leadership and executive team

Title: Director of Marketing

Summary: The Director of Marketing develops and plans various easy to promote the organization.

Major Duties:

● Creates marketing strategies to create awareness of the organization’s activities

● Supervises the entire marketing department and provides guidance to marketing staff

● Produces ideas to promote upcoming events and activities

Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

Summary: The Community Engagement Coordinator is primarily responsible for engaging with the

community and providing services that best benefit the community.

● Develops relationships with potential supporters

● Works within budget guidelines for events

● Helps create community fundraising events

Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers.

Major Duties:

● Recruits volunteers through various methods

● Assesses volunteer’s availabilities and skills

● Provides training for new volunteers
