TERAS shade explains the values and principles that are the core to the planning and

implementation of the responsibilities of UKM community. These values and principles

should be present in all UKM initiatives and initiatives which then form the basis for
strategic planning, construction of work movements and the determination of Key
Performance Indices or KPIs. This aims to produce UKM citizens who adhere to the
University Philosophy in implementing the mission and vision of UKM.

UKM Vision Statement states that UKM is determined to be a leading university that leads
the way of society and it’s time to form a dynamic, knowledgeable and virtuous society.
UKM Mission Statement also stated that UKM be a selected university to uphold the Malay
language and to globalize knowledge moulded with national culture. This Vision and Mission
provides guidance to UKM staff to determine the direction, set priorities, formulate
strategies and evaluate the effectiveness in all aspects of UKM progress.

To achieve this determination, TERAS which is the value and principle of niche and initiative
to the Vision and Mission of UKM explains the importance of Talent, Ethics, Empower, Agile
and Spirit as a shade to development of university.
