LEARNING PROCESS

In this section, I will discuss the challenges I encountered during my internship and
how I dealt with them, with specific examples of each in details
1. Problems identified & how it was solved:
During my period of internship, I faced So many problems in the
beginning but started adapting to them. So, some problems I faced during
my internship period are as described: -
➢ In the Beginning, hesitate to make 200-300 calls a day:

While making phone calls to students, I didn't know how to contact 200-
300 students per day at first, and it became stressful for me. Because for
the first time I assigned with this job. Following the organization's
principles and norms daily allows me to effectively perform my given
tasks, and the friendly environment allows me to do my job.
➢ Facing Problem to Communicate with other staffs and Customer Fluently As
an intern at the very beginning, I can’t able to communicate with other staffs and our
Visitor properly because I don’t even know how such organization work and I don’t
have many pieces of knowledge about universities and about our collaboration and
partnerships with the different institution. And because I am new there all staffs feel
uncomfortable at first with me.

➢ Scared To Ask question and doubts

At first, I felt pressed to complete a large number of tasks, so if I made a mistake or

didn't understand something, I felt compelled to seek help from other employees and
my supervisor but I didn’t at the beginning. However, over time, I grew accustomed
to learning from the internet and began asking my supervisor questions about my
concerns.

➢ Doesn't Know How to Counsel a student

Counselling is one of the most difficult jobs in our industry; as an intern, I

had no idea how to counsel students. And how to deal with them for study
abroad takes time for me to begin counselling.

➢ Facing problem to during travel

As I have to travel from city to city for seminars and partnerships with another
consultancy, I have to travel from one city to another. However, due to the Covid-19
and travel restrictions, it became easier to travel after the lockdown was eased, and I
began traveling while adhering to all safety guidelines.

A SPECIFIC EXAMPLE FOR EACH PROBLEM FROM SUB

Starting with the most first issue, "hesitate to make a phone call or follow up Student,"
from the list presented. So, I was assigned to student follow-up on the first day of my
internship, and I was completely oblivious to how to talk and what to say on phone
conversations when performing follow-up, so I became anxious about it. It makes me
uneasy to speak with students without any prior experience in the educational consulting
field. So, after the first day, I began discussing the situation with my co-workers and
supervisor. And they treated it as if it were nothing out of the ordinary, sharing their
experience in the field and starting to educate me how to communicate during follow-up
by making demo calls and forcing me to do practice for a week. so, I began to treat these
things as routine, calculating how much time I should devote to each phone contact to
complete my 200-300 calls each day and get the best results possible, and performing the
same things daily conditioned me to handle such tasks. And thus, is how I solved the
problem and gained a lot of knowledge from it.

The second issue I encountered was the inability to “fluently communicate with other
employees and customers.” I was initially shy to speak with other employees, and I was
unable to adjust since no one seemed to be nice at first, save for my supervisor, but I
gradually began to converse with them and became excellent friends. They also assisted me
much during my internship, inviting me to lunch and making me feel more comfortable.
Their behaviours began to change, allowing me to learn lots from them, suchas how to
converse effectively with visitors, students at seminars, and college representatives, as well
as providing me with a great deal of exposure in this field by requiring me to attend all
events and seminars. and meeting which helps me how these things are done in real life by
looking at them talking on any topic, planning, etc.

The third issue I've encountered in my internship is being "too afraid to ask questions."
I felt so pressured to ask for help and ask any questions regarding the problem during the
first few days of my internship because different tasks were assigned to me that I had no
idea how to complete, and I felt so pressured to ask for help and ask any questions
regarding this problem, but my supervisor took a report every day before we left for home.
So, when my supervisor and other co-workers found out about my difficulty, they gave me
the freedom to ask whatever questions I wanted and made sure that everyone would help
if a problem arose, so they reacted graciously. This gives me confidence in it and allows
me to express whatever questions I have about my job, and they always respond positively.
Which helps me build my confidence and do my job properly.

The fourth issue I’ve encountered during my internship Is “Doesn't Know How to
Counsel a student” Counselling is one of the most difficult jobs in our industry; as an
intern, I had no idea how to counsel students. And how to deal with them for study
abroadand takes time for me to begin counselling. During my first encounter with a
student for counselling, I became blank and can’t able to answer the question of the
student because of very less knowledge of student problem and how to give them a better
suggestion. So, to deal with these issues my supervisor let me sit with him in his cabin
during counsellingand let me learn how to take counselling sessions with the student and
how to deal with each question asked during counselling. So, in this way, I overcome this
problem and thisproblem helps me to gain a good knowledge of professional
communication.
And this is how we reach close to our target and gain good results which also helps our
organization to survive during the pandemic. And it teaches me a lot about how to survive
your business during such kinds of unforeseen circumstances.

TASKS PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

DAILY TASK AND ACTIVITIES
I got opportunity to work 3 weeks as an intern in SVNK COLLEGE. During my intern period I was
placed in the job of consular as an operating manager of the organization. Where I got opportunity to
learn various work and skills. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:

Reviewing past records of

Learning about Fees and its
students, universities and Internship Commissions. (1 week)
associate universities. (1 week)

Counselling and
Documentation. (6 week)

TASK AND PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Reviewing past records of student and associate university of Consultancy

I had got the opportunity of going through the records file of student who had successfully went for the
proper documentation. I have to see the needful documents that are needed for the student. So the
manager help me to understand what actually the student needed while they are perusing the study. In
this way I can able to understand the needed document for further study. To make my work more flexible
the manager handle me the list of university, which are associate with them and ask me to know their fee
structure programs so that I could be able to counsel the student in future. In this way it took me 1 week
for getting knowledge about how to maintain file and how many universities are associate with the
organization. During this week I feel more awkward at initial 2 days but later on I found the work more
interesting and more knowledgeable. So I had followed the following activities during the first week of
my internship.

• Review the old file of student.

• Visit University of various regions.
• Handling the documentation of the student.
• Filling the form of universities.

Learning about Universities Fee Structure and Commission

The challenges job for me is to be well known about the university to be more confident on my work. It
was a challenging job for me because keeping the records of well known university name was a most
difficult part of the things for me to recognize. While going through it I have more complex situation at
the very first day. I was scold by the manager because I couldn’t recognize the university well at the
earlier day. I spend my quality time at home also so that I will able to grab the information of related
university. Later on I could able to gain information and I can make my boss proud to me. This way the
challenging job makes my work more clear and able to know that the hard work can make a person more
success. Later on the one thing improve to me is dedication for learning which was lacking toward me.
So I feel more courageous in my work at the 2 week.

Counselling and Documentation

The major work carried out during the internship program is consoling and proper documentation of the
student. It is the major work that I did during my internship program. So while doing the internship I
recognized that consoling is the most difficult part of internship. I found that dealing with people is one
of the challenge jobs for the consular. Here while doing counselling I found we have good
communication skills English. Fluent spoken in English language makes you more confident and
trustable towards the student. So the major duties and responsibility as consular are as follows:
• To analyze the past academic record of the student.
• To consul the student about university for study.
• To make people more clear about their environment.
• To aware people about the university program and its beneficiary for them.
• To encourage student about the benefit of the program.
• To assists student for accommodation while planning for study.
• To assists student for their well documentation.
• To assist student for loan.
So while doing these task I was responsible for the student proper documentation and their
queries. These were the tough task during the 3 weeks while I enjoy with working the corporative
environment. It helps me to gain the proper information how people peruse the aboard study program. I
realize how difficult it to go through step wise is. I found the education system of aboard university more
flexible and the terms and targets they have are more clearly incorporative in the context. The task of
convincing the parents was the most difficult part because they have conquered more queries regarding
their children future. Sometime it’s hard to face the real situation of the parents because of their poor
economic condition. As a consular I have got the responsibility to make people more conscious and to
handle the emotions of people in different situation for building confident. Hence the 6 weeks period of
handling the documentation process and counselleing helps me to get more engaged with the people. I
was a shy person and I always lack confident towards my activities but it builds courage to me.

COMPETENCIES

The Competencies that I applied to the work was completely different based on my educational
knowledge and skills. I learned from seeing and with the help of the supervisor and other staffs that
how the works are actually perform in the organization. Thus, my competencies were based on my
given goals, which were as follows :
• To understand the university programs and its fee structure so that I could be able to answer the
queries of the student.
• To maintain the proper documentation of the student for further apply and well success for visa
to study in aboard.
• To maintain good work ethics within the colleagues and management representative, so that
personal relation can be enhanced and also the professionalism to deal with the student.

THINGS LEARNED DURING THE INTERNSHIP

An internship is a unique learning opportunity. Given what it has to offer back, the importance
it has gained over the years in growing one's career cannot be overstated. It's neither spoon-fed
classroom learning nor a stressful burden. In the meantime, you'll master not only the
fundamentals of working life but also the soft skills necessary for a successful professional
career.
➢ Professional Communications skills

Professional communication is one of the most important parts of the business student
as we learned about professional communication in Professional English of our course
which taught us all about communication styles and ways of communication in different
forms of speaking, listening, writing, and responding carried out both in and beyond
the workplace, whether in person or electronically. From meetings and presentations to
memos and emails to marketing materials and annual reports, in business
communication, it's essential to take a professional, formal, civil tone to make the best
impression on your audience, whether its members be your colleagues, supervisors, or
customers. so, working with this organization I understand the use of professional
communication in the real world.

➢ LEARN ABOUT ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

Learning things practically is a completely different experience. I first understand the

organizational model as a whole which defines the hierarchy, team development, and
consumer's role in how a business operates Working at SVNK college learn about
services and its internal environment. I gained a wide knowledge of the educational
consultancy potential market., Igot a chance to watch all levels of staff working in an
organized organizational structure. All the employees I learned how such a model
works from step to step which was very great as such model helps in employment.
Through observations, I learned how inclusive business models work which expand
access to provide servicesand livelihood opportunities to different background peoples.
These businesses provide opportunities for people living at the base of the pyramid to
step into new roles: Service Provider, Partners, or customers. Having an organizational
structure in place allows companies to remain efficient and focused.

➢ SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

Through handling social media, generating different kinds of content I learned various
ways to build customer relationships and engage through digital platformsfrom social
media to websites. Besides consistent posts, the major key factor I learned was the
correct brand message and how you position yourself in the marketand also by engaging
with the customer by picking your best testimonials and reviews, design them into
readable bites, and craft catchy captions to go with them.
➢ MAKING CONNECTIONS

During my internship period, I started making a connection with my co-worker,

Partner of our organization Universities representatives From Different parts of the
world, and our partners as much as possible and I used to talk to them on social media,
Emails, and phone. And sometimes I prefer to meet as well and doing so makes me
build my good connection with them and it will help in my career and further study
plans. And I also acquire so much information about different universities and
colleges around the world and such connections might help when we start our
organization. As an intern I know I have to be more focused on these things, so I
started talking and grab any opportunity coming on my way. “We often hear that
success is ‘all about the people you know’ as if it’s just a matter of equal-opportunity
relationship building.

➢ WORK ETHICS AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE

As an intern, I didn't realize how important work ethics are until I was in a real-world
setting. We are accustomed to making excuses for late submissions, poor attendance,
and so on in college, but it is only when we are exposed to the real world that we
develop work ethics. And organizational culture is also so important to attract talent,
drive engagement, impact on happiness and satisfaction of customers and employees
as well. Good culture and work ethics determine the objectives of the organization So,
as an intern learning organization culture and work ethic helps us throughout our life.
Some famous quote on work ethics and Organizational culture "In looking for people
to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And, if they

➢ TEAM WORK AND PROBLEMSOLVING SKILLS

As an intern, being able to adapt and learn how to work in a team is crucial. Unlike
our undergraduate project, when one individual performed all of the work and the
marks were split among the group, the internship experience is unique. We must be
more professional here, and each member of the team must work together to complete
the objective. I learn to work as part of a team rather than focusing just on myself
during an internship. As a result, I've learned to be patient in cases where I disagree
with other team members on a task. In this case, we revised the work and concluded
that we needed to accomplish our work properly. Working in a team and using my
theoretical knowledge of problem-solving skills and all about teamwork during our
course helps me to utilize it in practical knowledge. As internship taught you and
introduces you to real-life work problems and hence develops your problem-solving
skills.

➢ TIME MANAGEMENT

Last but not least is time management, which is just as crucial as the others. I might
have missed a lesson in the past due to personal obligations. nonetheless, as an intern,
I really can't record your absence regularly throughout an internship, which is virtually
the start of our working lives. because it demonstrates how responsible, timely, and
dedicated you are to the job and task at hand. As an intern, I learned a variety of
techniques for performing my tasks correctly and on time. It teaches me how to better
manage my time by striking a balance between my job and personal life without
harming either.

LESSONS LEARNED
During my internship program I was offered time from morning Sharp 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The tenure
of time for the internship program is for 7 hours a day. I was welcomed by flowers and greeting at the
first day of my internship program. The manager handover the cabin for me and make me resp onsible
for the chair activities. He assists me in the first day of my work. He endeavour me with his great pleasure
and help me to know the organizational culture as well he introduce me with the other staff of the
organization. It was a great welcome for me and really it was an impressive day for me to work on such
a comfortable. I feel really a joyful moment working with the entity it makes to to work more trustful
with the entity because the natural environment and friendly and corporative colleagues makes the work
easier and more comfort. I was a person who was always shy ad become nervous to face a people but
due to the work it makes me to improve my work properly. I was offered the responsibility of counsellor
as an operating manager of the organization. I have offered following duties and responsibilities in
professional manners which are illustrated as follows:

➢ Counselling students/ parents

➢ Enrollment / admission process
➢ Collecting registration fees
➢ Documentation/ Visa interview preparation
➢ Guide to deposit tuition fees in company account for transfer to the related university colleges as
per the sent invoice.
➢ Frequently check bank statement
➢ Official E-mail Correspondence

These are the major work that I was assigned during my internship program. Although the tasks were
difficult but I enjoy working with the entity. While I found working with the entity was difficult because
I have never faced with the mass of people as talking frankly I was a very shy person and always wants
to be a follower rather than becoming a leader. But the task handle towards me makes me to be a leader
and help me to know how to talk with the people and gain their trust towards us. So it was really
challenging job for me and I appreciate all the challenges. In the very first week, I was asked to go
through the past records of the student so I could be able to know what are the documents that are needed
for aboard study program. It was the task that I have to keep on my diary to memorize for the next day
work. So I keep writing the stepwise things to know the well documentation. Sometimes when I went
home I go through it because when the manager asked me for the proper documentation then I will be
able to answer all the required information. It was a challenging tasks for me to handle the work. Some
of them are respectively discuss as below:

Counselling Students/ Parents

The major responsibility that I have to carry out is to counsel the parents and students for aboard study.
At the first I have let them to fill the form to know their qualification and their interest country. I have
to ask them, why they want to peruse the education program for aboard? So that I could able to read
their mind and on their perception I could be able to counsel them for aboard study. It was the most
difficult and challenging job for me during my whole internship program.

Enrollment / Admission process

Getting admission process as once the student was convinced to get study dream through the consultancy
was the major work for the entity. Student got the offer letter once he/she gets Skype interview with the
university and offer for the admission process. While doing the admission he/she have to get the No
objection letter from ministry of education for sending the respective university as per the university
invoice. It is the way of going through the documentation process for further study.
Documentation
It is the way of getting proper way for stepwise process for the documentation is the essential things. So
student are encourage to make the recommendation letter from the recently pass colleges, income
statement for further step. It includes all the documentation for attempt to the university. While once the
process was made then student were provided list of questionnaire with the answer sheet for further
study. So it is another essential part of the organization. Therefore student should make proper and
trustworthy document for further process.

Guide to Deposit Tuition Fees

Student are guided to deposit tuition fees in the company account to transfer the fees to related university
as per sent invoice it includes of currency exchange rate, bank charge and 1 % education tax. So student
are guided for to deposit tuition fees as per mention in their offer letter along with the invoice. It makes
them to be more clear about how much fee actually they have to pay for the university. So as per the
counselor I have to guide the student for the fee payment along with the current foreign exchange rate
and 1 % educational tax.

Official E-mail Correspondence

The major work was corresponding with the official mail. It is the foremost factor of the entity. I should
be always being alert about the latest information and news update about education policy as well as
university policy. So while doing the work at the earlier phase I have to be correspondence with the email
of the entity. It is the foremost things for the organization. Hence performing various tasks it comes as
the importance one to tackle all the information of the entity. All the documentation process for the
university are send through email so I should be well known with proper handling way of email
correspondence. So while handling the various tasks for the entity the mail correspondence was the
essential for the organization. When I first enter the entity the major work for me is to check the email
and newspaper for latest information about education policy as well as the seminars that are going to be
held. It is also important to know about the education fair so that organization could be able to assume
the number of student interested for aboard study. Entire my hole internship program I was praise well
corresponding with email.

Hence the above are the skills that I gain during my internship program. It is the most enjoyable
job I have ever done in my life. The knowledge that I gain and the skills I gain through this internship
program is milestone for me. It helps me to improve my managerial skills, leadership skills, personal
development, and business development skills. I always think that the appearance of the people doesn’t
matter in the organization but it makes me fail, I recognized that the well dress and organized manner is
also regarded as the essential factor for every entity. While I also change some of my personal behavior
for smart looking for grabbing the attention of people. I have quite improve my communication skills
which I was lacking, although I have not good sense of talking in English language but the continuous
learning makes it more clear and able to deal with people in native English language. Similarly I always
want to be a follower but due to this internship program it makes me to be a leader. It helps me to know
that dealing with different people will let you know that how you can be able to talk with many people.

Similarly, I also able to learn the business development skills. Especially I was so much
passionate to become an entrepreneur. I always evaluate each and every work of the entity. Sometime I
got scold from the manager because of my deep thinking on the matter. Once he had scold me not to take
the thing seriously, you are the perfect and you can do the things in correct manner I appreciate you time
concern and work so take it easy. These are the phrase that he told me when I made mistake on my work.
So working in different situation let us know how the businesses are grown in the organization. So it
was the very essential way of knowing the organization culture of any entity.

Therefore, I enjoyed a lot during my internship program which helps me to be a better one and it also
helps be to develop the managerial skills as well. So internship is the roadmap for every student. It tends
to know how the education you learned matter in the real world. It makes us to be more responsible and
sincere towards the work. It also helps to know the interest of self and what factors motive them for
doing the work. So it was the essential factor for me and it helps me to get clear about the organization
work in the proper manner.

HOW I APPLIED THE KNOWLEDGE FROM COURSE WORK TO

REAL WORKING SITUATION
This internship program was created to help students grow and gain real-world job
experience. Its purpose was to provide students with practical information as well as to
assess how they function in real life. Only academic knowledge will not complete any
student, thus practical consequences are critical, and internships enable the exploration of
practical information.
Practical insights linked with the gaining knowledge we had had a very essential part in our
ability to function in the actual world. Everything we learned in our lectures at KCM, from
the basics to the complicated, came in handy during my internship. It has given me abetter
understanding of the significance of minor details that we often overlook.
The significance of brand value in developing a distinct image in the market to generate a
competitive advantage for the brand, which aids in positioning. The adoption of a
systematic brand creation and management approach to promote and market on social
media. everything I learned in my coursebook assisted me throughout my internship in
creating strategic analyses, identifying brand value propositions, and promoting through
various marketing methods such as internet promotion and product strategy at various
market placements.
During my time at my organization, I've become a much more confident person in dealing
with individuals in the market in the future. This curriculum has not only provided a
practical understanding of how things are done in the actual corporate world but also how
we apply our academic knowledge in connection with our experiences and gut feelings to
operate and sustain a firm while producing and providing value to customers.

The major knowledge I gained regarding Customer service department, Counselling, and
Teamwork as I worked as an intern at CSD and Counselling. I learned how to deal with
customers to establish and sustain a relationship between the client and the firm. I learned
how to operate under pressure and on schedule. I was even aware of the significance of
fragmentation in the works. And how to persuade students and learn some basic counselling
tactics from an expert. Knew about different services provided by educational consultancy
and different universities and Detail’s process of how services were provided by the
educational consultancy.

Similarly, I learned the value of good communication and teamwork in an organization

with diverse perspectives on marketing activities, sales, promotion, operations, and other
marketing activities that I learned in class and obtained real-world experience. Finally, asa
business student, I learned about accounting, business strategies, work cultures, and diverse
abilities such as communication, socializing, interacting, work ethics, discipline,
collaboration, and so on.

Higher education refers to a stage of formal learning occurring after the completion of secondary
education. It consists of all training, post-secondary education, and research guidance at
educational establishments that have been approved by state authorities. Higher education is
delivered at various educational institutes, including universities, colleges, etc., as well as
through certain college-level institutions, such as vocational and trade schools. It also includes
activities on research, teaching and social services that aid in personal development, career
specialization and preparation, improving self-esteem and confidence, identifying new skills, and
developing critical thinking.

India Higher Education Market Trends:

The improving literacy rate coupled with the growing number of student enrolments is primarily driving
the India higher education market. This can be attributed to the inflating demand for employees with
higher education degrees that can assist them in adapting to the rapidly changing business environment
in the country. Additionally, the increasing penetration of digitalized solutions in the education sector
coupled with the rising per capita expenditures of consumers are positively influencing the demand for
higher education. Moreover, the emerging prominence of e-learning solutions and the introduction of
massive open online courses (MOOCs) are also stimulating the regional market. Apart from this, the
elevating levels of globalization along with the widespread adoption of intercultural and international
dimensions by several Indian universities for improving the quality assurance of the entire education
system are augmenting the demand for higher education. Furthermore, the implementation of supportive
government policies, such as the National Accreditation Regulatory Authority Bill for Higher Education,
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, SWAYAM Prabha, etc., aimed at promoting higher education in India is acting
as another significant growth-inducing factor. Additionally, the rising integration of various advanced
technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT), with higher education
systems to automate personalized adaptive learning and improve language affinity is anticipated to fuel
the India higher education market in the coming years.

Higher Education is a very important sector for the growth and development of human resource which
can take responsibility for social, economic and scientific development of the country.1 While, higher
education gives India an edge in the world economy as evident from the availability of the skilled
manpower, and research scholars working abroad, unemployment, illiteracy and relative poverty
continue to be the major deterrents to realize her potential in human resources. The higher education
system in India has grown in a remarkable way, particularly in the post-independence period, to become
one of the largest system of its kind in the world. However, the system has many issues of concern at
present, like financing and management including access, equity and relevance, reorientation of
programmes by laying emphasis on health consciousness, values and ethics and quality of higher
education together with the assessment of institutions and their accreditation. These issues are important
for the country, as it is now engaged in the use of higher education as a powerful tool to build a
knowledge-based information society of the 21st Century.

Education is not knowledge alone, but also the capacity to utilize it. The quality of education depends
on the ability it imparts to make proper use of the learning. In other words, acquiring knowledge coupled
with the ability for its proper application is the real education. As such, the traits, which impart the skill
of applying the acquired knowledge, are of great significance; without the requisite skill of application,
the knowledge is a mere treasure trove in a sealed vault. Education includes all that which completes the
personality of an aware and cultured citizen….True education must, therefore, provide also the skill for
application and enable development of the traits, which nurture its future growth. The ethical component
of education is an element, which caters to this need. It is in the different ethical values of the knowledge
makers that we find the cause for the difference in their contribution, even though they are equipped
with the same level of knowledge

India has successfully created one of the biggest higher education systems in the world. Quality of many
top institutions is recognized to be comparable to the best in the world. However, Indian education
system faces problems and issues that originate from disparities and developmental models adopted.
With all the impressive development in the areas of Information Technology, space science, nuclear
technology, oil exploration, industrial production etc., India could not solve its problems of poverty,
ignorance and underdevelopment completely and successfully due to various reasons. Nearly 25%
people are still below poverty line; one-third are illiterate and disparities amongst rich-poor, urban-rural,
educated-uneducated are high, which are creating enormous social tensions. The country has to face
challenges of globalization and pressures of liberalization while continuing its fight against poverty,
illiteracy and disadvantages. The major problems before the Indian Higher education are

Comodification of Education: Higher education is becoming a marketing commodity. It is a multi-billion

dollar business. Foreign universities are trying to have a share of Indian educational markets, and have
prepared for this during the last decade or more. This shift from education as a social good to marketable
commodity is against the Indian culture, and sufferers in these changes will be poor and disadvantaged
people of India.

➢ Global Competitiveness: The competition will essentially be for offering quality education
recognized at the International level and relevant to the local needs The major issue is how to
raise the quality and standards of Indian education and make it globally competitive, locally
relevant and enable it to offer marketing paradigm appropriate for developing societies.

➢ Concerns of weaker institutions: High disparities in educational standards and quality of

education offered by Indian universities and colleges is of great concern to all. 28 National and
global competition may create problems of survival of weaker universities and colleges.

➢ Developmental disparities and unsolved Indian problems: Many colleges and universities were
started in India for removing regional imbalances and for supporting education of weaker and
disadvantaged classes, particularly of women. These institutions and other developmental
programs for weaker classes are still facing resource constraints, which are further aggravated
by ignorance, poverty and disadvantages of the people they serve. This is resulting in widening
divides and in keeping many educated from weaker and disadvantages sections outside the job
and employment markets. The challenge of these marginalized and deprived to the system of
education is enormous.

➢ Weak linkage of education with developmental processes is creating frustration amongst

graduates when they find that education is not so useful in employment and in work situations.
A challenge is to transform the system from its present model of education to developmental
education linking education to developments in society, industry and services sectors.

➢ High cost of higher education: The unit cost of traditional education, particularly of professional
education, is quite high and has gone out of reach of the Indian middle and lower classes. Many
private entrepreneurs have started educational institutions for offering creamy courses with
marketing approach; and have raised fees not affordable to majority. Subsidy to the education
by the state is not the right solution in the present situation, when numbers aspiring for higher
education is large and ever increasing. The deprived are already creating pressure on the state to
make education accessible; and have raised an issue of socioeconomic equity and justice. The
issue has already become extremely volatile in some states like Maharashtra.

More of the same will not offer a way out. The major issue and challenge is to use IT and evolve a
new system of education that may enable educational institutions to develop appropriate paradigms
of development and education, and to increase coverage by serving larger numbers so as to move
towards education for all so essential for knowledge-based society.
Based on the information from the studies conducted by UGC and other material the UGC had put
together a report akin to a road-map for higher education in the country.

MARKEING AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Education marketing is a type of marketing that promotes valuable educational content and helps
institutions and individuals take advantage of it.

Educational content includes everything from courses and how-to videos to research papers and books
to software applications for desktop computers and mobile devices. With the right education marketing
strategy, educational content can spread like wildfire and ignite curious minds from all over the world.

In this article, we explain the top education marketing strategies that professionals in the education sector
need to know about in 2022, providing several specific examples to consider when planning marketing
activities this year.

Why Does the Education Sector Need Education Marketing?

The education sector has been experiencing a massive boom thanks to the numerous opportunities
created by the internet and modern technologies in general. According to Orbis research, the global e-
learning market worldwide is set to reach $458 billion in value by 2026, driven largely by the escalation

traction. In fact, doctorate courses in education underscore the importance of marketing in the industry
to drive revenues and growth. Education industry leaders must leverage education marketing to survive
in the cut-throat competition in the field as well.
Education marketing shouldn’t be confused with education-based marketing, a specific marketing
strategy that involves the education of prospects, rather than pitching them, to establish trust. On the
other hand, education marketing encompasses all marketing activities in the education sector, including
the following:

➢ College marketing: There was a time when schools didn’t need marketing because they

relied solely on their reputation and word of mouth. That time is forever gone because
millennial parents are more tech-savvy and use the internet to support their decision
making. Schools that don’t actively market themselves are destined to be ignored by many
millennial parents who would otherwise be greatly interested in what they have to offer.
➢ Marketing for higher education: Education marketing and higher education are a match

made in heaven. Colleges and universities benefit from marketing for higher education
because it helps them elevate their brand and drives enrollment. Students benefit from it
because higher education marketing helps them make the right choice when choosing their
education path.

➢ Digital marketing for the education sector: In today’s digital world, traditional
marketing strategies are no longer suitable for targeting younger demographics.
Educational institutions must embrace digital channels if they want to convey their
message to a large audience in a cost-effective manner. Such channels include email, web
content, social media, paid search, and others. Harnessing these and other marketing
channels is not easy, but the potential to greatly increase revenue and decrease cost per
lead is huge, making digital marketing an important cornerstone of every education
marketing strategy.

➢ Social media marketing for educational institutions: Parents and students alike spend
a lot of time on social media sites, and educational institutions should establish a presence
on sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to engage with them and learn more about
their wants and expectations. Content published on social media should be bite-sized,
captivating, and in line with the image the institution is trying to build.

➢ The promotion of educational apps: The current educational app market is so

competitive that it’s no longer enough just to have a great product—one must also have
a great educational marketing strategy that is executed to perfection to get ahead of the
competition.

While leading providers of marketing services to educational institutions, such as ComboApp, often use
education-based marketing when promoting education services and products, the fact remains that it is
just one of many effective education marketing strategies that can be used.

The best education marketing strategies in 2022—regardless of whether they’re used in marketing for
schools or in marketing for educational apps—take advantage of the tremendous opportunities created
by the internet.
That’s not to say that traditional advertising strategies, such as billboards, flyers and brochures, print
ads, and face to face meetings, have no place in the digital era, but their return on investment makes
them far less attractive than modern digital marketing strategies.

Use Social Media Platforms to Connect with Your Audience

There are now approximately 4.59 billion social media users worldwide, which equates to about 42
percent of the population. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit are the
most popular among millennials, followed by Gen Z, Gen X, and baby boomers.

Since their early days, social media platforms have matured in every way imaginable, and they now
provide a myriad of different ways how they can be used in higher education marketing. Regardless of
which social media platform you decide to target, your goal should always be the same: establish
meaningful connections with your target audience by providing engaging content.

It’s helpful to create a social media marketing (SMM) persona to represent your target audience. The
marketing persona should include information such as age, gender, education, goals, challenges, and
primary values. When deciding what content to create, always keep your social media persona in mind
but don’t be afraid to experiment.

Some of the most commonly used digital advertising channels in 2023 include search engine advertising,
social media advertising, display or banner ads, and video ads. Each of these channels has its pros and
cons, which is why advertising experts generally recommend using a mix of all channels.

Regardless of how much of your marketing budget you dedicate to digital advertising, make sure to
gather as much data as possible so you can monitor its effectiveness and make educated decisions to
improve it.

Create a Mobile-Friendly Website with an Optimized Landing Page

It has been several years since the number of mobile internet users has exceeded the number of people
who access the internet from desktop computers and laptops. In 2027, the number of smartphone users
worldwide is projected to reach 7.7 billion, which means that nobody who wants to succeed in education
marketing can afford to not have a mobile-friendly website with an optimized landing page.

For a website to be mobile-friendly, it must look and feel great on mobile devices, which means that all
links and navigation elements must be easily clickable, the site itself must be responsive, and page
loading times shouldn’t exceed three seconds (that’s how quickly a half of the online population expects
a website to load).

In 2023, it’s also worth considering using AMP, which is a web component framework and a website
publishing technology developed by Google that provides a straightforward way to create web pages
that are fast, smooth-loading, and prioritize user-experience above everything else.
If nothing else, make sure your website passes Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test, whose purpose is to
determine how easily a visitor can use your page on a mobile device.
To use it, enter the URL of your website and wait for the tool to finish testing. Mobile-Friendly Test will
tell you whether your website is or isn’t mobile-friendly, and it will also provide you a detailed overview
of all the page loading issues it has encountered so you can fix them.

The next problem we face in this discussion is how to create educational websites that prioritize user-
experience. This will depend on the needs of your users and the educational product you offer. Some
parts are universal though, and that means being easy to navigate and having engaging co ntent. You
want people to want to use your website, and these are two of the biggest factors that make people
navigate away and never return.

This is especially true when you create a website for education institutions. Make everything easy to
access and without a user needing to drill down through several levels of menus to find what they are
looking for. You also want to keep a steady flow of content that will benefit your users and keep them
visiting to see what is new.

Encourage Students to Leave Online Reviews

It’s a well-known fact at this point that 90 percent of consumers read online reviews before visiting a
business or paying for a service. That’s why online reviews should be an integral part of all higher
education marketing strategies.
The best way how to encourage students to leave online reviews is to make the review process as easy
as possible. Better yet: make it fun! Instead of forcing students to fill miles long forms, you can
implement a star-based rating and make verbal feedback completely optional.
When you receive an online review, make sure to respond to it as quickly as possible. Don’t ignore
negative reviews but, at the same time, avoid being dismissive. You should see every negative review
you receive as an opportunity to show potential customers how you deal with worst-case situations.

If you find that you aren’t getting as many reviews as you’d like, you can always incentivize the review
process by offering discounts, gift cards, bonus points, and other incentives. Often, it’s enough to politely
solicit reviews in emails or some other one-to-one communication channel.

The challenges of the current evolving world and changes that have come in the wake of the pandemic
also present an opportunity to those who are prepared. School marketing strategies can benefit from a
focus on safe learning in their marketing content. Educational websites and apps can also benefit by
presenting themselves as safe alternatives to in person education. If you still feel intimidated by
marketing for education or just want to avoid making a potentially costly mistake, you can always rely
on the educational marketing services provided by Combo App to make your offering stand out with
innovative digital marketing solutions that adhere to higher education marketing best practices as
outlined below.
CONCLUSION

During this internship, I was able to let go of all the dilemmas that I have related to my
career decisions like whether to enter into a job as my goal persists or to start up or to go
for a Master’s degree right after the completion of my BBA course. Taking this decision
has been a lot easier after the completion of the internship period as I can decide what is
right and what is not for my future ahead. In our day-to-day life, we have to prioritize many
issues over others to give ample attention and time to the important ones. This requirement
of my punctuality in my work has made me able to prioritize my career and studies over
other issues like friends, parties, etc. Now, I suddenly am realizing that we are bound by
the limit of time whereas previously I thought I have ample time for everything. This limit
of time has made me realize the value of timeand how to organize every activity to give
my time to other issues as well.

This realization of the importance of time will no doubt help me in anything I do in the
future as for every professional, time is one of the rarest and important assets he has. I
am efficient at keeping lines of communication open with my supervisor, teammates,
and clients. I make a point to keep my supervisor and teammates in the loop about
important information. This was illustrated by the emails I sent. In the upcoming year, I
aim to improve my active listening and business writing skills.

Also, I have learned many things as an intern, how to help the customers, to understand
the importance of different individuals because each person is different fromeach other
and to dress like a professional because people judge you by your dress up.

Self-Assessment as a future professional and Self Evaluation

My 3 weeks and 4 days of the internship program was a completely different
experience. I had exposure to the real work scenario. This internship period helped me
understand how organizational cultures can be different from one another. I also understood
how human resources are inimitable to gain a competitive advantage. I am very much
thankful for the wonderful accommodation facility from SVNK college.

I gained a lot of insights regarding several aspects during my internships like

leadership skills, time management skills, teamwork, communication skills, and problem-
solving.
I believe an internship at SVNK college has helped me gain ample knowledge about
work ethics. I can say that I have been able to learn many valuable things for my future in
this short period. This internship program provided me with a platform to look closely into
the consulting sector and to work in it. This internship period was very fruitful and productive
for me. Communication skills are very important in the current world. The ability to
communicate information accurately, clearly and as intended is a vital life skill and
something that should be overlooked. I have become more confident because of the
interactions I had with co-workers, clients, and other stakeholders. I developed an attitude of
readiness to work. I have also developed an ability to work under pressure which is a very
important skill while working in any organization.
I now have a deeper understanding of organizational culture and relation layers. I pursue
further to gain the maximum knowledge from the experience and enrich my life and career
ahead.
Education not only makes a man a perfect gentleman, it also arms him to meet all the
situations in life. An educated man can always face difficulties in a better way than an
uneducated person. He knows how to face the difficulties in a calm and quiet way. Instead
of getting worried on the onslaught of difficulties, he will welcome them. This is the only
chance in the life of a man to bring to the fore the latent powers which lie hidden in a man,
till they are put to use. So long as the man is in a comfortable position, he need not exploit
this hidden treasure. However, once he is in straitened circumstance, he is compelled to use
every bit of energy to fight out the adverse circumstances. This can be done only by an
educated man, who is not frightened at the sight of the difficulties, because he does not
allow them to get on to his nerves. It is said that it is not ease but effort, not facility but
difficulty that makes a man. Thus, the education helps a man to develop a balanced
personality
RECOMMENDATION
➢ College location is in inappropriate place even though having good infrastructure.
➢ Use the space of the office and hire some good employees, counsellors.
➢ Focus more on a new trend of Marketing strategy as I realized Marketing strategy is
so traditional at Parthwi Edu. Cons. And also there is a lack of Marketing strategy
maker.
➢ Should have to focus more on how to adapt to new technology and new ways of doing
business.
➢ The location of the office is good. But the place is not good for education consultancy
in my opinion as there is less competition and less student visit.
➢ Should have to focus more on Ethical behaviour and also on employee retention.
