For both my second and third essay, I choose to help incorporate more details and add to make

sure that it was tied in together. In my second essay, I incorporate more details about the authors
and their own stance on music and how it affects the mind. For my third essay, I tried to tie the
articles together a little bit more and incorporated more information that showed my side of why
music isn’t as effective in concentration.
In my website, I wanted to create an idea of how mental health can be affected by a variety of
things and the ribbon that is often used for in mental health awareness is green. It also happens to
be my sister’s favorite color and blue is my favorite, so I mixed both colors together and created
a slowly fading color of both blue and green together. I also didn’t want to download too many
of my articles, so I created a text box where they are open without having to open the documents.
I really used a lot of the information I had used in my ENGL 1301 class except for the part where
I had to incorporate my findings of the class and how much I had learned and how fun it was.
The annotated bibliography synthesis assignment was a nice assignment that helped me greatly
and I wish I could have added it, however, I already had different articles and documents in place
for that assignment.
I learned how to write a good essay and how to incorporate sources that either go with or against
my essay. It is very important that I use this because it can help me further explain my stance on
an argument and how to persuade the reader as well.
I learned how to write a lot of good first, second, and final drafts, however, I won’t need to do
this in future classes because many teachers just require that I turn in what I had learned or talked
about.
My strengths are now that I can find a good article that can talk about either my viewpoint or my
opposing viewpoint. Although I struggled a lot to get my articles, I was able to find good sources
that helped me tie my articles together and contribute to my standing. My weaknesses have still
not been fully taken care of but the more I keep writing and creating my thesis statements, the
that means I can create wonderful stories, essays, and even articles.
The most challenging part was the portfolio essay. It was hard to compose 2,000 words in a page,
however, I did enjoy the class and I learned a lot from both my teacher and my classmates. The
least challenging was getting my documents together into the website. I made sure to save all my
essays until I had turned in my essays and all the drafts.
I identified that I am still struggling to fully understand the concepts of the topic of an essay,
however, if I just learn to ask for help and ask for feedback from both my professor and my peers
then I know I can make an amazing essay one day.
