Writing task 2

Cam 15
In this day and age, there is a growing debate about whether using
digital books instead of the classic one. While some people argue that it
is not necessary for people to buy a real book, others believe that the
original books still have their role in human’s life. To my way of
thinking, I disagree with this statement because the paper books always
have a vital role in our life. In this essay, I will explore both sides of the
argument and provide evidences to support my view.
First and foremost, not only being used for studying purpose, the
original paper books also are considered as a way of expressing personal
passion. People can collect a variety of books and then keep them as
their hobby. As an illustration, my grandfather, he has a collection of
many historical document. Not everyone can access to Internet easily
especially the elderly, so the classic book is still the ideal options to
people in the real life.
Another factor to consider is the quality of online books. People are not
strongly sure about the source of these book and this phenomenon will
lead to bad experience to the readers. Nowadays, we can easily post
whatever we want on social platform and then if people read the low
quality of books, it will be extremely awful. However, in terms of
protecting our environment, readers should be careful in buying the
paper books. Not only focusing on the cover, we also have to choose the
suitable one to reduce the number of tree cut down for paper producing
yearly.
In conclusion, while there are valid argument on both sides of the
debate, I believe that the paper book still plays an important role in the
human’s life. In my view, the benefits of using the original book
outweigh any potential drawbacks, and it is therefore the best course of
action. Overall, I believe that being careful in choosing paper book is the
correct approach and will lead to the better reading culture in our society

Task Achievement: 7/9 The response attempts to address the topic, but
there are issues with the development of the argument. The first body
paragraph focuses on personal passion rather than arguing for the
importance of paper books in general. The third paragraph discusses
environmental concerns, but it is not well linked to the main argument.
The essay lacks a clear structure, and the concluding paragraph does not
summarize the key points of the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: 6/9 The essay has some good linkers and
sentence structures, but the ideas are not always well connected or
developed. Some paragraphs lack a clear focus, and the logical flow of
the argument is sometimes confusing. There is also some repetition of
ideas.
Vocabulary: 7/9 The essay includes some good vocabulary, but there
are also some errors and imprecise word choices. For example, "ideal
options" should be "an ideal option," and "bad experience" should be "a
negative experience." There is also some repetition of vocabulary, such
as "original books" and "paper books."
Grammar: 7/9 The essay includes some good sentence structures, but
there are also some errors in grammar and punctuation. For example,
"Not everyone can access to Internet" should be "Not everyone can
access the Internet." There are also some issues with subject-verb
agreement, such as "readers should be careful" instead of "readers
should be careful."
