What I prefer about the idea is that it is a
multifunctional kit since it has everything a normal
technical pen does not really acquire. It suits
those who use technical pens most of the time,
like me because you won’t have a hard time finding
other tools you need for a good-quality technical
pen.
So far, I don’t have anything that I don’t like about
the idea, but I just wanted to ensure if it will really
be a compact portable case, given that it also
includes other tools.
I just hope that it will be a small and easy-to-carry
portable technical pen case.
I don’t have any other questions after seeing the

retractable eraser.
Some technical pen erasers you
could buy in some stores are not
really advisable to use. Thus, after
seeing the idea, will it be suitable for

Some of the interviewees like the concept of having multiple points in a single pen since they tend to use a technical pen as
their primary drafting or drawing tool. Thus, one of their concerns is that the ink inside the pen will not dry easily and that the
multiple points will remain intact. With that, we decided to add a pen cap for our technical pen with multiple points to further
avoid the ink that dries easily when not in use. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the points was also included as one of the
concerns, and given that, it is ensured that the concept applied will take into consideration that the variety of points used are
intact and stable while utilizing the pen itself.

The purpose of the pen is to cater to dedicated users who require a cost-efficient alternative to the expensive tech pens
currently available. However, some of the interviewee's concerns lie in creating a pen that is ergonomic and user-friendly for
professionals, designers, and students who use tech pens for long hours. This is because the ink cartridge of a tech pen is
usually thick, and a bulky pen could easily strain the hand. Therefore, instead of the traditional bulky ink cartridge, we decided
to opt for a regular ink cartridge found in ball point pens to reduce the thickness of the pen to maintain a comfortable grip.

Our first innovative product, the “Fork” shall be the tech pen your money’s worth with its multi-

with a cap to keep the ink from drying; and despite having multiple points, it will remain an
ergonomic design by having a thinner ink cartridge to prevent a bulky output that will strain the
users during prolonged usage.

STORYTELLING
 ACT 1

Andrei is a passionate interior designer student whose goal is to make a

name for himself. He spends most of his time honing his skills in drawing
and trying to perfect his crafts; sketching his ideas and concepts onto
paper efficiently and in a structured manner. However, because of his
extreme attention to detail and his desire to make his ideas, drawings,
and working plans as precise and clean as possible, he can't help but
notice how technical pens are complicated and smudgy to use, plus,
adding fuel to the flame, his experience using traditional technical pens
are very time-consuming since the workload given to interior designer
students are innumerable and to be able to communicate and represent
working plans effectively, he must use different point sizes for the
assigned elements in his drawings.

Acknowledging this issue, Andrei began searching for alternatives to
online shopping apps hoping to find solutions to this blooper.
Surprisingly, he stumbled upon an ad specifically for interior designers,
architects, and engineers advertising a technical pen with a game-
changer feature that can save time, especially for people with a tight
deadline schedule. This game-changing feature offers users to change
from point to point with a literal push of a button. This brilliant tech pen
features multiple points of various sizes in a single pen. Invested in this
ad and amazed by the creativity of the developers of this pen, Andrei
began to compare the tech pen he found online to the traditional ones.
Immediately, he realized that this technical pen is an investment and a
bang for the buck since he knows that this can help him significantly to
portray and communicate his ideas and concepts accurately through
working drawings. Despite Andrei's competitive nature, he told his
findings to his block mates to ensure that everyone would not be left
behind.

For the past few weeks, he had been using the technical pen he found online, he was
really satisfied with the outcome of his work. He continued to use the pen, and with
that, he was able to create detailed drawings and plans, which, for him, is an
essential part of the design process. Same thing with his blockmates, with whom he
shared the product; they were also satisfied with their purchase and are really
thankful to Andrei for recommending that kind of technical pen. Andrei continued to
practice his skills in drafting by spending most of his time using the technical pen, and
he could notice how durable and efficient the product is.

A few years have passed; he is now a licensed interior designer, and despite the
advent of different software for creating plans, he is still enjoying presenting and
conveying his designs through hand-drawn sketches with the use of the technical pen
he discovered back then. He could still manually draft detailed and accurate drawings
and even enjoy developing his creativity and technical skills. He was more than
satisfied with his purchase a few years ago, as this did not only help him with his
plates and schoolworks but still managed to help him up until now in terms of
developing a layout for a space. Andrei, as an interior designer, was able to
communicate his vision and design clearly and accurately, which resulted in the client
being able to fully understand his design intent.

existing people who manufacture and produce the tech pens will need training to create good quality
technical pens that are better than the old tech pens.
