SUBJECT : Analysis of Unit/Office/Station using of Mackinsey 7S Model

I. Reference: Class Instruction with PBGEN ADELIO B CASTILLO, Ret with


subject Analysis of Unit/Office/Station using 7S of Mckinsey Model.

II. The McKinsey 7-S Model is a framework based on a company's


organizational design. It aims to depict how leaders can effectively manage
organizational change by strategizing around the interactions of seven key elements:
strategy, structure, system, staff, skills, style and shared values. It can be aligned with
my unit which is the Milagros Municipal Police Station (MMPS) to achieve its goals
and objectives. MMPS is primarily tasked to ensure the overall order and security, to
maintain peace, tranquility and zero-crime community.

III. In terms of strategy, we aligned our unit’s mission, vision with that of the
PNP which is to provide security, safety, peace and special services to the people of
Milagros, Masbate as well as non-inhabitants therein referring to those whose place
of work and business are situated in the City.

IV. As for the structure, Milagros MPS lead by the names hereunder with a
Total of forty Two (42) personnel;

V. As to the system aspect of McKinsey’s 7S Model, the Camaligan MPS


consisted of eight sections enumerated as (1) Admin; (2) Operations; (3) Police
strategy management Unit (4) Investigation (5) Supply (6) Finance (7) Information
Technology Unit and (8) Police community relation.

VI. As to the staff, designated personnel are in-charge in their respective


sections. It is a practice that the personnel in-charge must be rightfully designated to
enable to perform the tasks.

VII. On skills, Milagros MPS personnel had undergone trainings and courses
which specializes in the security and other basic measures that may be employed in
an activity to ensure safety and security as well as current laws passed and amended.

VIII. As to the style, with the leadership of the Chief of Police, the personnel
gave their support and respect to them with a harmonious working relationship among
its personnel. In our office we have a strong work culture because we follow the
organization's rules and regulations and adhere to the existing guidelines of the PNP.

IX. For the shared value, our values are the guiding principles when working
and making important decisions and career choices. But must be aligned to the PNPs
directives. It is reinforced through trainings and policies implemented to create a
positive and productive work environment.
