DIY SOLAR VAC

STUDYING THE EFFICIENCY OF SOLAR POWERED
VACUUM CLEANER

PARTIAL ABSTRACT
Human health is the most important thing in this world and cleaning is a must to protect
the human life from infection and diseases. With the help of our solar powered vacuum
cleaner we can make our life easier it is also portable. In this paper we proposed an
efficient way to implement the solar powered vacuum cleaner with the use of old
materials……

BACKGROUND
 Our vacuum cleaners make use and utilizes D/C motors, computer fans, and various
easily accessible material. It’s a common project for those who attempt to create simple
cleaning tools using recyclable materials. It also emphasizes the use of old materials as
opposed to brand new materials as a way to promote reusability and recycling

OBJECTIVES
 To promote the use of old materials as a way to promote reusability and recycling.
 Energy Efficiency: Utilizing solar power aims to create an energy-efficient vacuum
cleaner, reducing reliance on traditional electricity sources and minimizing environmental
impact.

 Off-Grid Operation: Designing a solar-powered vacuum cleaner with energy storage

capabilities allows it to operate off-grid, providing a convenient cleaning solution in areas
with limited access to traditional power sources.

SIGNIFICANCE

 Our research is important because it is more cost effective and affordable as opposed to
traditional vacuum cleaners that rely on plug in electrical outlets.
 For sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning solution
 It give an opportunity to recycle otherwise wasted materials.
 By lowering reliance on conventional energy sources, it lowers carbon emissions.

METHODOLOGY

1. CUTTING THE PLASTIC BOTTLE

 Take the empty 1.5 liter bottle and cut it in half.
2. CUT AND FORM PROPELLER
 Cut the tin can and shape it into a propeller.
3. POKE HOLES IN THE BOTTLE
 Create holes at the bottom of the bottle by using a drill/heated nail.
4. ATTACH PROPELLER TO MOTOR
 Affix the propeller onto the motor and lock it in place by placing
epoxy on the middle part of the propeller to properly affix onto the
motor.
5. PLACE THE MOTOR AND PROPELLER INSIDE THE
BOTTLE
 Insert the motor and propeller inside the water bottle.
6. INSTALL FILTER
 Insert a filter into the setup, the filter can be anything that is thin or
can stop the dust particles but allow the air to pass through.
7. ATTACH VACUUM NOZZLE
 Install a vacuum nozzle, but don’t put epoxy on it as we need to be
able to detach the nozzle in order to customize it with different
nozzles.
8. ATTACH BATTERY, SWITCH, ANDCHARGING
PORT TO THE BOTTLE
 Connect the battery onto the motor and solder the wires together,
connect the switch onto the motor, and attach the charging port
onto the battery
9. FINALIZE THE ASSEMBLY
 Ensure that all components are securely attached for a fully
functioning solar powered vacuum.
