Interpretation:

IgE levels are used as initial (screening ) test for allergic disease.
IgE antibodies mediate allergic diseases by sensitizing mast cells and basophils to release histamine and other
inflammatory mediators on exposure to allergens.
Serum levels of IgE are increased in many patients with allergic diseases , parasitic diseases, allergic
bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, and other rare hyper IgE syndrome.

Additional Test:

Phadiatop test comprise of a balanced mixture of relevant allergens that react with IgE antibodies in patient serum and
non - atopy. Allergen specific IgE tests/panels by Nephlometry method according to age, symptom( Asthma, rhinitis,
eczema), environmental and geographical locations available at our centre.

Test has been performed on COBASPRO

For test performed on specimens received or collected from non-HPDPL locations, it is presumed that the specimen belongs to the patient named or identified as labeled on the container/test request and such verification has been carried out at the
point generation of the said specimen by the sender. HPDPL will be responsible only for the analytical part of test carried out. All other responsibility will be of referring Laboratory.
