1. Cite and discuss Eugene White's model of communication.

~ Eugene White's model of communication are the concepts that tells us the sequence happen

in communicating. There are 8 stages in White's model communication. First is the thinking, it

gives the speaker a desire, sentiment, or emotion to communicate. Next is symbolizing, the

speaker must be aware of the language in which he/she will express his thoughts or ideas.

Expressing, the speaker will use his/her voice to tell the message in a language with expressing

emotions and gestures. Transmitting, means that the voice of a communicator is carried by a

wave and the message will reach the listener. Receiving, when the voice of the speaker reach

the ears of the listener, this will send a signal to the braine. Decoding means that the message

will be interpreted by the listener to understand the message. Feedbacking will be the response

of the listener to the communicator. Lastly the monitoring, this is where the speaker will look

for the sign if the listener understand the message or the idea that he/she wants to tell.

2. Explain the characteristics that makes the Schramm's model unique.

~ While the other model have many stages in communication, Schramm's model are described

as a two way highway because it recognized the purpose of feedback. These means that the

information passes between the sender and the receiver only. It also have three main elements,

the encoding, interpreting, and decoding.

3. Describe the basic tenets of communication.


~ Communication is a process that is constantly changing. It is also said that it is a difficult

subject to comprehend. Instead of meanings, messages are sent. There is a systematic procedure

to communication, because of this it will organized the process or the way of our

communication. Communicators, not simply listeners, are involved in communication. Those

also who speak or listen.
