1. Everyone has a favourite place. My _______ place is Hong Kong, a city located in South
China. About 7.5 million people of various nationalities live there.

2. Hong Kong is a city of contrasts. It's one of the world's most significant _______ centres
and commercial ports, so there're many rich people and _______ buildings. At the same
time, there’re many _______ people and shabby buildings. You can pass by a young man
wearing a _______ suit and then an old lady carrying an advertising board. Although 'Hong
Kong' translates as 'fragrant harbour', not every part of it smells _______. I remember
running away from a street food stall selling fried pig intestines! Speaking of food, Hong
Kong has a lot to offer. My favourite food is dim sum, a _______ range of small Chinese
dishes that are traditionally enjoyed in restaurants for brunch.

3. I first visited Hong Kong nine years ago. I went there with some friends, and I liked it so
much that I've visited it many times since. Sometimes with friends and sometimes alone.

4. When I'm in Hong Kong, I always feel _______ and happy. When I'm not there, I often
feel stressed and _______. I don't know why. It might be the mixture of Eastern and
_______ worlds. I like the city so much that I even considered living there. But getting a job
in Hong Kong is very _______ and people there work very hard. Maybe, I wouldn't enjoy
living there.

5. Hong Kong is not perfect, but it has a _______ place in my heart. I’ll probably never end
up living there, but I’ll definitely keep visiting it.
