Objectives  Students will be able to explore more about the Phoenicians, geographical location,
and their trades in the ancient world.
 Students will understand the significance of the Phoenician alphabet and its
influence on written communication.
 Students will explore the cultural practices and trade goods of the Phoenician
civilization.

IFL The Phoenician trade, especially through Byblos, played a role in the dissemination of the
word "Biblos," which eventually gave rise to the word "Bible."

Materials PowerPoint, Worksheet

Strategies Reading and comprehension

Use visuals, such as maps and images, to engage students.
Relate historical information to present-day relevance to keep students engaged.

Procedures Thursday:
 Greeting and introduce the topic

 Play a video – 7minutes

 Provide them worksheet for them to go through

 Go through each slide explaining

 Ask students questions during sliding

 Summarize the key points discussed in the lesson.
