Chihuahua Pencil Case

Note: Each round is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds with slip
stitch. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the ending of the round.

Materials:

1. Crochet hook size 2.3mm (no.3/0)

2. 100% Cotton yarn(250m/100gr) with color: beige, black
3. Two pairs of safety eyes size 10mm
4. One pair of black plastic dog nose size 7x10mm
5. 8 inches plastic zipper
6. Polyester fiberfill
7. Yarn needle
8. Light brown felt

Skill level: Intermediate

Size for pencil case: 24X8cm

Size for chihuahua doll: 10X6cm

Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet BLO – back loops only
ch – chain sts – stitches
dec – decrease dc – double crochet
inc – increase hdc – half double crochet

Head: With black yarn

Change yarn to black

Fasten off, stuff the leg and leave a long tail for sewing.

Body:

R1: With black yarn, 6sc in a magic ring [6]

R2: inc 6 times [12]

Fasten off, stuff the body and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:
1. Sew the snout to the head.
2. Attach the plastic dog nose to the snout or embroider a nose with black
embroidery thread to the snout.
3. Cut 2 inside ears out of beige felt and paste it to the ears.
4. Sew the ears to the head somewhere at round 2-8.
5. Attach the plastic zip to the body.
6. Sew the body to the head.
7. Sew the tail to the zip.
8. Sew the legs to the body.
