Female Fertility Problems

Seeming inability of a woman to become pregnant.

CAUSES—Infertility is generally defined as the failure to conceive after a year


or more of regular sexual activity during the time of ovulation.
Either the woman or the man may be the cause.
Infertility usually means that the problem can be reversed; sterility means that
the situation is permanent.
In general, 60% of couples conceive within 6 months, and 90% within a year.
If you both are under 28, and have no reason to think otherwise, you ought to
have a baby within a year.
A frequent cause is a deficiency in one or more nutrients.
The problem may be that the woman is not cycling and ovulating properly.
If she has less than 20% body fat, she may not.
Other causes include inherited disorders, infections, venereal disease,
mishandled abortions, endometriosis, bacterial organisms, drugs, plugged fallop
ian tubes, emotional trauma, or frigidity.
If you are producing milk or have male-pattern hair growth on your breasts,
upper lip, or chin, you may have a hormonal imbalance. Listen to this ladies

You or your spouse may have had chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease
which can destroy the fallopian tubes in women and inflame and scar the
ductile system in men.
You may have had pelvic infections, endometriosis, polycystic ovary disease,

fevers, the mumps or measles. You may have used an intrauterine device (IUD)

acids, vitamins A, B complex, zinc.

• Vitamin E is very important if you wish to conceive.
Para-amino benzoic acid (PABA) is a B vitamin which stimulates the pituitary
gland and sometimes restores fertility to a woman.

Avoid white flour, fried, sugar, junk, and caffeine foods. Do not eat animal fat.
• A gluten-free diet has enabled women, who previously were unable to
conceive, to become pregnant.
Stop smoking and do not be around cigarette smoke.
• No caffeine and medicinal drugs. Caffeine can prevent pregnancy from
beginning.
• There is the possibility that you have had heavy metal poisoning.
Women who drink alcohol can prevent implantation of the fertilized egg in

Black cohosh

Red clover

Helpful herbs include black cohosh, red clover, yellow dock, wild yam,
chamomile, skullcap, dong quai.

If a woman has developed antibodies to her husband's sperm, avoid releasing
sperm for a month. This should cause the sperm antibodies to decrease.
• There is always risk if you give consent for a physician to do fertility testing
inside your body.

CARE—When not due to organic disease, this may be eliminated by a course


of water treatments. A series of graduated cold applications (Tonic Frictions) is
most useful. The Cold Rubbing Sitz is highly useful. Remove catarrhal
conditions of uterus and vagina and sub involution by means of
hot vaginal irrigation, followed by tonic (cool or cold) Sitz.

Pomegranate boosts fertility in women by increasing blood flow to the uterus a
nd thickening the uterine lining. It even helps the healthy development of the

Make fine powders of pomegranate seeds and bark. Mix them in equal
quantities and store it in an airtight jar. Take ½ teaspoon of this mixture with a
glass of warm water twice daily for several weeks to boost your fertility level.
Drink a glass of pomegranate juice daily.
Maca Root

This hormone-balancing herb contains fertility and vitality promoting


properties. It helps balance the estrogen and progesterone in women, which in
turn boosts fertility.
In addition, its high iron content may be particularly important to women prior t
o conception. Maca root also helps improve sperm count and motility.
Mix ¼ to ½ teaspoon of maca root powder in a cup of water and drink it once
daily.

You can also include dates in your diet. They make healthy snacks.
As sunlight aids vitamin D production in the body, expose your body to early m
orning sunlight for about 10 minutes daily. Eat foods high in vitamin D like, (g
rown in ultraviolet light) and foods fortified with vitamin D.
Folic acid is an important vitamin for those who are trying to conceive. It helps
cell division and promotes ovulation. In fact, health experts recommend taking
this vitamin before and during pregnancy.

Take folic acid .You can also eat foods rich in folic acid, such as dark green
leafy vegetables, broccoli, avocado, raisins, beans and lentils.?
Many herbalists recommend stinging nettle for those planning to conceive
because it works as a powerful uterine tonic. This herb is rich in minerals that
are good for your body. In addition, it helps reduce stress, which in turn
increases your chance of getting pregnant.
Mix 1 tablespoon of dried stinging nettle in 1 cup of hot water. Cover and steep
for 5 minutes. Strain, add a little honey and drink it. Drink 2 to 3 cups of this
herbal tea daily. You can also take nettle.

Additional Tips:
Try to maintain a healthy weight, as being overweight or underweight can make
it difficult for you to conceive. Regular exercise like walking, jogging or
swimming will help keep you fit and active. Avoid doing too much intense
aerobic activity, which may inhibit ovulation and reduce production of the
hormone progesterone.
All are essential for reproductive health. Drink plenty of water every day to
eliminate toxins. Minimize exposure to toxins to boost your fertility level .
Get enough sleep. A poor sleep pattern can lower your chance of conceiving.
If you are diabetic, keep your blood sugar level under control.
