 Foreword

• I am very grateful to God, getting to be born again at the age of 14, it was a
miracle. But I was never faithful in my walk with Jesus, there were many times I
stumbled and fell, but it is by grace alone God picked me up every time.

• It was Monday 13/10/2014 when I was lowest in my spiritual walk with Jesus, and I
together with a group of five boys in total sat down to study the bible and what the
Holy Spirit revealed in that one moment was a miracle.

• We saw clearly that the Christian walk must not be marred by fall after fall, but
Jesus died to take our sin away, and we saw that victory over sin is possible by the
power of the indwelling Christ.
 Foreword

• The other thing that was revealed to us was that victory over sin was to be
achieved before the national Sunday law. It was as though the Holy Spirit took
complete control of the meeting for none of us knew these things, and we returned
home happy and we smile and shouting for Joy.

• After this meeting was over, I knew I had to change my life and I began to pray for
deliverance from SIN, and it was then my friend Elder V. Lubani approached me
and gave me Videos of Jeremiah Davis. I watched the videos and the very thing we
studied were made more plane and clear to me.

• Thus I sould watch the videos of Ps .Jeremiah Davis and Elder Moses Mason and I
always took notes and I would share them with others.
 Foreword

• As I began to shared the videos with other Adventist I was really amazed at the
unbelief portrayed and also the indifference to the message was startling to me.

• Thus I compiled some of the points in the presentations from Ps. Jeremiah Davis
and Elder Moses Mason, and with them notes that were compiled in my quiet
study with Jesus.

• I hope this will bring Joy, Salvation and Gladness as it did to my heart.

 Important Points About These Verses

•
With the exception of the prophet Ezekiel, who fell on his face several times when
face to face with the "glory of the Lord, all other incidents were unique, one time
experiences, not repeated time and time again, nor continually sought after. In fact
they were never sought after at all. Besides which, all these examples have several
points in common which should be paid close attention to, since they show these
Biblical incidents bear no resemblance to what goes on in modern churches and,
therefore, cannot be used to support the 'Slain in The Spirit' phenomena.

• 1) In all the incidents people voluntarily fell forward, their face to the ground as a
sign of reverence, and in acknowledgement of the glory, and magnificence of God's
presence.
 Important Points About These Verses

• 2) They were in full control of themselves. None of them uttered gibberish,

laughed hysterically, convulsed on the floor, described feelings of peace and
tranquility, or the sensation of "electricity" going through their bodies... all of
which are, in varying degrees and proportions, par for the course in today's
manifestations.

• 3) At no time were any of the persons in the Bible oblivious to their surrounding
but, much to the contrary, were all in complete control of their senses. For
example, Joshua fell, then asked what the "captain of the host" had to say to him.
Whereupon, the angel gave Joshua instructions to take his shoes off, which Joshua
immediately obeyed. Manoah made a normal coherent comment to his wife who
replied using logic and common sense..
 Important Points About These Verses

• 4) It is also interesting to note that none of the Biblical figures were ever touched
by another person. In fact, there is not one single instance in the Bible where the
"power" is channeled through another person. They were not knocked down or put
to sleep by the "spirit", but fell as a voluntary act of obeisance, or as a result of
being overwhelmed by the presence of God (See Involuntarily Falling below)...
there never was any middle man. Yet, in modern day services God only "moves"
through an intermediary.
 Examine proof texts slain in the spirit

And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and
saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for
thee to kick against the pricks.

• 2 Chronicles 5: 14

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the
glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

• It is then, as the Levites, singers, and musicians with one voice praised and glorified
the Lord, (Vs. 12-13), that His glory descended and filled the house so that the
priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD
filled the house of God. (Vs. 13-14).
• There are no Biblical examples of people falling either voluntarily of involuntarily,
that bear any resemblance to the modern 'Slain in the Spirit' phenomena. In other
words, there is no Biblical support for the practice.
 The "Ministry" of the Catchers

• The churches that practice knocking people down with the supposed power of the
Holy Spirit, usually use "catchers" who are positioned behind those receiving
prayer.

• Their job is to "catch" the people who are being 'Slain in The Spirit', since people
falling backwards from a standing position are very likely to injure themselves.

• The "catchers" support the person from the back and gently lower them to the
ground. Also, it is very, very common to see these assistants use a sheet to cover
the lower halves of some women lying on the floor

• However, this "ministry" has been unquestioningly accepted without giving the
matter any thought, nor applying one ounce of common sense to it.

• 1) If God is the one responsible for "blessing" people by dropping them to the floor,
why do we have to catch them?  Is He not capable of seeing to it that they are
"blessed" without injuring themselves, or does He simply not care?

• 2) Even if the above point were, for whatever bizarre reason, accepted as being
from God, it is impossible to believe that He would allow His daughters to fall with
their dresses hiked up, and their legs at very inappropriate angles.  His "blessing"
would never include placing a woman in an embarrassing position.

• Impartation Of Spiritual Gifts?

•
However, Jackson does say "In the verses where the cause of shaking is mentioned,
it has to do with holy fear. The shaking we are experiencing seems to be related
more to prophetic ministry and impartation of spiritual gifts of which parallels can
be seen in Fox's ministry."  [13]
• 1 Corinthians 12 and 13 are almost exclusively devoted to the gifts of the Spirit.
Chapter 12 opens with the words.... "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do
not want you to be unaware". Paul then goes on to talk about the diversities of gifts
which come from God through the Spirit (vs. 4-6). What these gifts are, and how
they are dispensed (Vs. 7-11). How we should earnestly covet the best gifts (Vs. 31).
etc. etc. etc.  Yet, there is not one word about any one 'shaking' when they receive a
spiritual gift.
• When virtually every Biblical example of people or objects shaking is in the context
of fear of the Lord, and there is not a single instance of anyone shaking in the
context of "prophetic ministry" or any "impartation of spiritual gifts", then it is an
extreme stretch to connect the two.
 Drunk and laughter in the spirit

• Ephesians 5:18
• And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be

filled with the Spirit;

 Kundalini
• Kundalini is  a term you may or may not be familiar with- It is a
demonic spirit which is known as a counterfeit Holy Spirit   from the
Hindus & incorporated into new age philopsophy & practice…  under
the influence of this demonic spirit people will testify to having “deep
spiritual sensations”   such as “knowing” other peoples thoughts-  full
body & outer body  feelings of bliss & ecstasy.   Uncontrollable
physical sensations such as crying laughing & jerking –  vivid dreams,
visions & trances.

•  I will testify that I have seen many people manifesting in similar ways
 after being through a fire tunnel  & just generally under the
supposition that these manifestations & experiences are genuinely
from God – given by the Holy Spirit…
 Here is what I have observed:

• Persons deliberately praying for others to recieve  “more’ or  ‘Fire”  or “new wine”
or “drink”  or “fresh revalation”  by placing their hand on the persons forehead until
“something” a manifestation occurs.  This could be shouting or wailing….  shaking  
or falling flat out  ( slain in the spirit)   most people I saw  would be laughing their
heads off during this  type of ministry..

• Strange hand movements  like wafting  —  as though the Holy spirit  could be
moved by us  tangibly on to people.

• Drunkenness  & bliss bombing    someone   throwing  or making the action of a
throw   on to people  who then fall down  & roll about as though drunk..    they are
totally immersed in the activity  & cannot be reasoned with or interrupted until it
comes to a “natural !!!” end..  One of our senior leaders did this  one time  &  was so
“drunk”  they said they didnt know how could they  could drive home!!!   how is this
responsible behaviour  from a senior leader…?.  Anyhow, the bible repeatedly tells
us to stay sober & vigilant…  why would the spirit of God come in such power &
produce the exact opposite effect  contrary to scripture??
• Shouting at God to declare things over the church  or the town or an individual…
 Declaring things about the Kingdom

• Commanding God’s glory to come down….     this is very serious  error…   as

biblically we go to God’s presence at his invitation & his sacrifice of his son…  &
anyway  his presence has been with us his name is Jesus  who is all in all… & he sent
the Holy Spirit as the comforter & the power of God –  this “power” though is  to do
with making Jesus known & bringing conviction & repentance in turning hard
hearts back to God.

• Weird shaking/ involuntary  head & body movements….  seriously people would do
this  during other times that they were not being ministered too  & so therefore it
was in no way a response or reaction to anything –  I conclude that they were
unaware of it & unable to stop it from happening..

• leaders  (& others) making Animal noises….(& finding it funny)

• Soaking:  people laying around in quiet semi- trance like states  visualising God &
giving their testimony about it later…   make no mistake this is Guided visualisation
& in its very basic form it was being subtely introduced from the late 80’s   “imagine
you are somewhere & Jesus is  walking with you  –  look in his face”  what does he
say….  it wasnt called soaking back then as the term had not been formalised…  but
its the same thing…  & from the New Age…  in the River  people soak – record the
thing & then share –  this is considered valid prophetic  & direction for life choices
or actions  agreed to.

• now  the fruit  of the Holy spirit  is:    Galatians 5 v 22  But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-
control. Against such things there is no law. 
• he physical falling is called "Slain in the Spirit" also known as "falling under the
Spirit's power", "falling before the Lord", "slain under the power", "carpet time",
"drunk in the Spirit", or "resting in the Spirit" etc.  and is attributed to a human
being's physical response to the power, or "anointing" of the Holy Spirit, under
which an ordinary person is unable to keep standing. Many Charismatics believe
this phenomenon brings both physical and emotional healing and/or an anointing
by the Spirit. 
 Hand power
• 1 Kings 5:10-11
• 10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in
Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and
thou shalt be clean.
• 11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I
thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the
name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and
recover the leper.
Chakra system
 Muladhara

root chakra is symbolized by a lotus with four petals and the color
red.
This center is located at the base of the spine in the coccygeal
region.

It is said to relate to the gonads and the adrenal medulla, responsible

for the fight-or-flight response when survival is under threat.[45] The
seed syllable is LAM.
Muladhara is related to instinct, security, survival and also to basic
human potentiality. Physically, Muladhara governs sexuality,
mentally it governs stability, emotionally it governs sensuality, and
spiritually it governs a sense of security.[46] Muladhara has a relation
to the sense of smell.[47]
 Svadhishthana
• Svadhishthana (Sanskrit: स्वाधिष्ठान, IAST: Svādhiṣṭhāna,
English: "one's own base") or
• sacral chakra is symbolized by a white lotus within which
is a crescent moon, with six vermilion, or orange petals.
• This chakra is located in the sacrum and is considered to
correspond to the testes or the ovaries that produce the
various sex hormones involved in the reproductive cycle.

• The key issues involving Svadhishthana are relationships,

violence, addictions, basic emotional needs, and pleasure.
Physically, Svadhishthana governs reproduction, mentally
it governs creativity, emotionally it governs joy, and
spiritually it governs enthusiasm
 Manipura

Manipura (Sanskrit: मणिपूर, IAST: Maṇipūra, English: "jewel city") or solar plexus/navel
chakra is symbolised by a downward pointing triangle with ten petals, along with the
color yellow.

Manipura is related to the metabolic and digestive systems.

 Anahata

• Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, IAST: Anāhata, English: "unstruck") or heart chakra is

symbolised by a circular flower with twelve green petals called the heartmind.

• Anahata is related to the thymus, located in the chest. The thymus is an element of
the immune system as well as being part of the endocrine system.

• It is the site of maturation of the T cells responsible for fending off disease and
may be adversely affected by stress. Anahata is related to the colours green or
pink. Key issues involving Anahata involve complex emotions, compassion,
tenderness, unconditional love, equilibrium, rejection and well-being. Physically
Anahata governs circulation, emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self
and others, mentally it governs passion, and spiritually it governs devotion
 Vishuddha

Vishuddha (Sanskrit: विशुद्ध, IAST: Viśuddha, English: "especially pure"), or Vishuddhi,

or throat chakra is depicted as a silver crescent within a white circle, with 16 light or
pale blue, or turquoise petals.

ishuddha may be understood as relating to communication and growth through

expression. This chakra is paralleled to the thyroid, a gland that is also in the throat
and which produces thyroid hormone, responsible for growth and maturation.

Physically, Vishuddha governs communication, emotionally it governs independence,

mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security.[40]
 Ajna

• Ajna (Sanskrit: आज्ञा, IAST: Ājñā, English: "command") or third-eye chakra is

symbolised by a lotus with two petals, and corresponds to the colours violet, indigo
or deep blue, though it is traditionally described as white

• It is at this point that the two side nadis Ida (yoga) and Pingala are said to
terminate and merge with the central channel Sushumna, signifying the end of
duality, the characteristic of being dual (e.g. light and dark, or male and female).
• The seed syllable for this chakra is the syllable OM, and the presiding deity is
Ardhanarishvara, who is a half male, half female Shiva/Shakti.

• The Shakti goddess of Ajna is called Hakini. Ajna (along with Bindu), is known as
the third eye chakra and is linked to the pineal gland which may inform a model of
its envisioning.
 Sahasrara

Sahasrara (Sanskrit: सहस्रार, IAST: Sahasrāra, English: "thousand-petaled") or crown

chakra is generally considered to be the state of pure consciousness, within which
there is neither object nor subject.

When the Kundalini energy rises to this point, it unites with the male Shiva energy,
and a state of liberating samadhi is attained. Symbolized by a lotus with one
thousand multi-coloured petals, it is located either at the crown of the head, or above
the crown of the head. Sahasrara is represented by the colour white and it involves
such issues as inner wisdom and the death of the body.
 Kundalini

A "life force" or spiritual energy has been part of the belief

system of many cultures for centuries.

In Japan it is known as Ki, which is the source of the word

Reiki.

In traditional Chinese culture it is called qi, chi or ch'i. Mana

to the Hawaiians is a form of a spiritual energy. In Sanskrit,
Prana is the word for "life force", and Shakti means strength,
psychic energy, or life force. [See Kundalini in several,
otherwise widely differing, traditions and religions)
 Kundalini
• Kundalini has been described as a concentrated form of prana or life
force, associated with the goddess Shakti, said to be the energy
giving power behind all creation.
• In Hindu tradition this Shakti which lies dormant in our bodies, is
conceptualized as a serpent coiled three and a half times around the
lowest chakra, at the base of the spine, awaiting unfoldment (in
Sanskrit, kundalini literally means that which is coiled)
• When 'awakened', this goddess kundalini is said to awaken and
unfold each chakra as she ascends through the spine, ensuring the
free flow of life energy (prana or qi) throughout the body, thus
balancing the chakras and promoting general health and well-being.
• When she has risen to the crown chakra, located at the top of the
skull and associated with elevated spiritual consciousness, then all
chakras have been opened, and a person is said to experience
enlightenment.
 Intelligent Force?
• The unique perspective of Siddha Mahayoga is that because
kundalini is an intelligent force it will, upon awakening, naturally
direct the practice of the student. All that is required is that the
student completely surrender to this force. As a result of kundalini's
unfoldment spontaneous purifying movements, called kriyas will
occur...

• “The title of Shaktipat Master, is a little misleading... Nobody really

"Masters" Shakti. She does as She pleases, and we just try to stay out
of the way. The Shaktipat Master is a vessel for transmission,
Goddess is the source... I do not care for the term "kundalini Master",
because it suggests mastery of Goddess, ... control of it, and that is
an ego illusion. One does not Master kundalini, one steps aside and
allows it to do its work through you, as the vessel”.. kundalini-

 Kundalini is contageous

• There is no doubt that shakti is contagious. The mere presence of a single being
whose shakti is strongly active can awaken the shakti of those around him.
Similarly being in the presence of many people whose shakti is awakened to some
degree can awaken one's own shakti.

• Kundalini can be awakened by attaining perfection of certain hatha yoga postures

called asanas, by certain breathing exercises aimed at controlling the breath called
pranayama, by God's grace, by meditation or by intense devotion...

• Meditation is the practice of turning the attention from outer awareness to inner
concentration. In the practice of kundalini Maha Yoga, meditation is much more
than a relaxation technique.

 Shortcut to awakening kundalini
• Shakti is strength, psychic energy, or life force, while Paat means to fall or descend.
In other words, Shaktipat is the descent of grace, or transmission of energy, from
one person to the other.

• In Hindu spiritual tradition, Shaktipat refers to the act of a guru or spiritual teacher
conferring a form of spiritual "power" or awakening on a disciple/student, which is
said to be the fastest and most efficient way to awaken one's kundalini.

• In Holy Laughter or Strong Delusion, Warren Smith wrote ---“Ramakrishna, an

Indian saint, "daily went into 'samahdi,’ a trance in which one involuntarily falls
down unconscious and enters a rapturous state of super-conscious bliss (ananda),
complete with beautiful visions and often involving astral projection. These states
could last anywhere from a few minutes to several days and were often
accompanied by uncontrollable laughter or weeping. He could send others into this
state with a single touch to the head or chest" (unpublished article by John Rice on
file at SCP)”

• "... the short cut to an awakened kundalini is through a Guru, or so called holy man,
who can transmit energy to an aspirant and awaken the kundalini, which brings
about an expanded states of consciousness. This is often done by touch to the ajna
chakra or the disciple's third eye. 

• Awakening Kundalini through the grace of a Guru is traditionally seen as the best
and most natural way of stirring this energy. When Kundalini energy awakens
through the grace of the Guru, yogic postures, mudras, and breath control
exercises do not need to be performed...”

• You did get that? The fastest, easiest way to awaken kundalini is with a touch to
the forehand, or the recipient's 'third eye'. Does that sound at all familiar to you?

• Few Christians realise that for thousands of years gurus have operated with gifts of
healing, miracles, gifts of knowledge, and intense displays of spiritual
consciousness as they stretch out and connect with a cosmic power which, though
demonic in origin, is very real.

• The meetings which mystic Hindu gurus hold are called ‘Dharshan’. At these
meetings devotees go forward to receive spiritual experience from a touch by the
open palm of the hand, often to the forehead, by the guru in what is known as the
Shakti Pat or divine touch. The raising of the spiritual experience is called raising
Khundalini.

 The Results of an "Awakened Kundalini"

• Kriyas [literally activities] are spontaneous movements that occur after kundalini
awakening.

• After a period when the devotee has reached a certain spiritual elevation they
begin to shake, jerk, or hop or squirm uncontrollably, sometimes breaking into
uncontrolled animal noises or laughter as they reach an ecstatic high. These
manifestations are called 'Kriyas'.

• Devotees sometimes roar like lions and show all kinds of physical signs during this
period. Often devotees move on to higher states of spiritual consciousness and
become inert physically and appear to slip into an unconsciousness when they lose
sense of what is happening around them.

• This state is called 'samadhi' and it leads to a deeper spiritual experience.'

 Book– “kundalini: The Arousal of the Inner Energy”
• Ajit Mookerjee, an "acknowledged expert on Eastern art and the sacred texts of India"
says

• "The ascent of the Kundalini as it pierces through the chakras is manifested in certain
physical and psychic signs.

• Yogis have described the trembling of the body which precedes the arousal of Kundalini,
and the explosion of heat which passes like a current through the Sushumna [the
supposed channel by which this energy rises through the body]....inner sounds are
heard... the head may start to feel giddy... the yogi visualizes a variety of forms... pure
light...numerous signs and symptoms may be experienced... as creeping sensations...
tingling sensations all over the body; heaviness in the head or sometimes giddiness;
automatic and involuntary laughing or crying; seeing visions of deities...

• The eyes may not open in spite of one's efforts to open them... Sometimes the body
feels as if it is floating upwards and sometimes as if it is being pressed down into the
earth... It may shake and tremble and become limp, or turn as rigid as stone

• Some people spontaneously recite mantras or make animal noises.

• Although the effects of an awakened kundalini can vary from person
to person, both in form and intensity.

• The Kundalini Gateway site lists 24 common manifestations of the

risen kundalini, of which seventeen are commonly experienced by
those who have been 'Slain in the Spirit'.
• Muscle twitches, cramps or spasms.
• Energy rushes or immense electricity circulating the body
• Itching, vibrating, prickling, tingling, stinging or crawling sensations
• Intense heat or cold
• Involuntary bodily movements (occur more often during meditation,
rest or sleep): jerking, tremors, shaking; feeling an inner force
pushing one into postures or moving one's body in unusual ways. 
(May be misdiagnosed as epilepsy, restless legs syndrome, or PLMD
• Episodes of extreme hyperactivity or, conversely, overwhelming
fatigue
• Emotional outbursts; rapid mood shifts; seemingly unprovoked or
excessive episodes of grief, fear, rage, depression
• Spontaneous vocalizations (including laughing and weeping) -- are as unintentional
and uncontrollable as hiccoughs
• Hearing an inner sound or sounds, classically described as a flute, drum, waterfall, birds
singing, bees buzzing but which may also sound like roaring, whooshing, or thunderous
noises or like ringing in the ears.
• Mental confusion; difficulty concentrating
• Altered states of consciousness: heightened awareness; spontaneous trance states;
mystical experiences (if the individual's prior belief system is too threatened by these,
they can lead to bouts of psychosis or self-grandiosity)
• Ecstasy, bliss and intervals of tremendous joy, love, peace and compassion
• Psychic experiences: extrasensory perception; out-of-body experiences; past life
memories; astral travel; direct awareness of auras and chakras; contact with spirit
guides through inner voices, dreams or visions; healing powers [41]
•  And the connection has even been made by proponents of Kundalini. In his book
kundalini Energy and Christian Spirituality, Philip St Romain (more about him later)
writes of the similarities between Siddha Yoga manifestations and those seen in
Pentecostalism. He says...

• In recent times, Swami Muktananda Paramahansa was most prominent in

spreading the practice of Siddha meditation. While reading through Kundalini:

• The Secret of Life, by Swami Muktananda, I was struck by similiarities it shares

with Pentecostalism. [42]
 Welsh evangelical speaker, Jessie Penn-Lewis,- in Chapter 6 of her
book entitled War on the Saints

• written to combat the deception that arose during the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival.
• Counterfeit manifestations of the Divine life in various ways now follow quickly;
movements in the body, pleasant thrills, touches, a glow as of fire in different
parts of the body; or sensations of cold, or shakings, and tremblings; all
accepted by the believer as from God, but showing what a full entry the
deceiving spirit has obtained to the bodily frame; for there is a distinction
between the manifestations of evil spirits "with"  and "in" the body and mind of
the believer;....

• grief and joy, heat and cold, laughter and tears, all succeed each other in rapid
changes, and varied degrees--in brief, the emotional sensibilities seem to have

 Laughter as a "Spiritual" Experience

• Indian Gurus:  It is very likely that most Americans will remember Rajneesh, the
Indian mystic and spiritual teacher who garnered an international following. He
scandalized Hindu leaders by calling for freer acceptance of sex and became known
as the "sex guru" in the Indian press.

• Rajneesh lived in opulence, earning the nick name the "Rolls-Royce guru" due to
his large collection of Rolls-Royce automobiles. However, his followers existed at
mere "subsistence level", most having severed ties with friends and family and
donated all or most of their money and possessions to the commune.

the top of the head, that person's consciousness merges with the divine” [49]

with the Divine and God-realization, which are very much central to spiritual
awakening. Since everyone experiences and interprets their mystical experiences
differently and very personally, to make sure no one will feel excluded, we just
speak of "awakening consciousness" or "transcendent states" on the ST Web

 Hatha Yoga... Mere Physical Exercise, Or Steps To An
Awakened Kundalini?

• Although most westerners are under the impression that the sole purpose of Hatha
Yoga, the form of yoga most commonly taught in the west, is to build a strong and
flexible body. However, what we should never forget is that the sole purpose of
yoga was to experience spiritual enlightenment... the bodily poses (asanas) simply
" intended to be a preparation of the body for physical purification so that higher
meditation could be performed".
 Is Kundalini a Blessing or Curse?

• The list of manifestations of the risen kundalini on the kundalini Gateway site (see
above) is accompanied by the following warning

mystical, paranormal and magical vistas but few realize it can also dramatically

 Experienced kundalini by being touched' by Muktananda

• "Someone in my yoga class told me about a famous Indian guru who was offering a
three day retreat in Honolulu. I signed up for the workshop, and met Swami "Baba"
Muktananda, who changed my life.

• He was a Siddha Yoga disciple of Bhagawan Nityananda, and had shaktipat, the
ability to awaken spiritual energies in other people. During one meditation, he
gazed at me awhile, then forcefully slapped me several times on the forehead. I felt
like I had suddenly been plugged into a high voltage socket.

• My body began to shake with a powerful force moving through me, and I was
flooded with visions. I sobbed, experiencing birth, death, pain, ecstasy, strength,
gentleness, love, fear, depths, and heights, like a genie finally let out of a bottle.
Dark days followed...”
 Experienced kundalini by being touched' by Muktananda

• In May, 1976, I sank into five days and nights of mental darkness. Stan assured me
that this was a psychic cleansing process, and that I would emerge into peace. He
told me to try and work through whatever came up.

• What came up was attacks by demons and monsters; I saw floating evil eyes and
scenes of madness. I became identified with crucified Christ and his murderers; I
lived and died through other times, wars, persecution, torture.

• I rolled on the floor in this dark night of the soul. After five days, I was able to
perform some ordinary tasks, but the tremors, visions, and emotional ups and
downs continued for months....

• In 1977, I happened upon two books about the kundalini awakening, and suddenly
understood what had been happening to me. [60]

• Legally and morally, I have to tell you: "Fools rush in where Angels
fear to tread." kundalini has been called the most powerful force in
the universe.

• Respect it, or it will kick you to pieces. I don't think kundalini itself,
kills anyone but resistance to the process can result in trauma that
moves people to suicidal behavior.

• Don't seek awakening unless you are genuinely ready to turn your
whole life over to your Higher Power, have it taken from you, and
reshaped, redirected and rebuilt. "Not my Will, but Thine be done.“

• kundalini eats your ego based free will, replaces it with the will of
your Soul. This is a door that once opened, does not close again.
There is no putting the Genii back in the bottle.

• Like the Borg say, on Star Trek: Resistance is futile, you will be
assimilated ...into the collective consciousness... into the Self. Bliss!
Resistance, is worse than useless, it is dangerous, and the cause of
most all kundalini based problems.

• There is growing evidence that many bipolar disorders and

psychoses may be undiagnosed kundalini.

• Surrender is the imperative of kundalini. [61]

 Terms and difinitions

• Glossolalia comprises the vocalizing of speech-like syllables, claimed by some to

be an unknown mystical language or ecstatic utterances.
• Xenoglossia is considered to be a paranormal phenomenon in which a person is
able to speak or write a language he or she supposedly could not have acquired by
natural means
 The “Second Blessing”

• Pentecostals, members of the Assemblies of God churches, and some other

charismatics usually place great emphasis on spiritual "gifts and manifestations”,
claiming that there is a special, post-salvation, gift/experience called the "Baptism
of the Holy Spirit" or "Second Blessing", in which the Holy Spirit, in all His fullness,
is poured out on the believer.

• In other words, we do not get everything God has for us when we get saved.

• Likened to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, this blessing is said to be
a deeper work of God's grace, "distinct from and subsequent to the experience of
the new birth" [1]. It is described as "a vital experience of the Christian life" and "a
special work of the Spirit beyond salvation". [2]. Therefore they teach that
Christians are to seek and strive for this blessing.
 Tongues... The Initial Evidence

• Most of the groups that believe in and teach the doctrine of the "Second Blessing"
consider that not only is the Spirit-baptism distinct from conversion or faith, but it
must be attested to by a physical phenomenon... a visible or audible sign

• Citing Acts 2:4, they claim that the initial evidence of this "Second Blessing" is
speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

• Therefore tongues, whether Glossolalia or Xenoglossia, is commonly held to be the

litmus test for Spirit baptism.

• In other words all believers, without exception, should speak with tongues, which
is the single outward sign that the person has been baptized in the Holy Spirit.
 Joel Osteen's Lakewood church says

• The Holy Spirit will not talk through your mouth. You will do the speaking. You will
sense the Holy Spirit giving you the utterance, but you have to take a step of faith
and speak forth what the Holy Spirit gives you in tongues. It may sound strange to
you, but allow that supernatural language to flow out of you.
 Tongues is pagan circles

• But what is especially alarming is that the manifestation of 'tongues',

or, speaking in an unknown language, has never been confined to the
Christian religion, but has occurred among people of pagan religions
like the Oracle of Delphi.

• It has been heard among Shamans, Voodoo practitioners and

heretical Christian sects like the Montanists, the Shakers, and the
Mormons.
 Not all were to speak in tongues?

 How are we to know that we are Chrits?

 Purpose of tongues

• The verse says that these five signs will follow believers. It does NOT say that if
these signs are not present the person can not be considered a Spirit baptized
believer.

one place.
• 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and
it filled all the house where they were sitting.
• 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each

• 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
• 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation
under heaven.
• 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
• 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not
all these which speak Galilaeans?
• 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

How can we know the true prophet
Does the bible teach there will be true prophets in the last days

• "In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons
and your daughters shall prophesy." Acts 2:17.

• "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ." Ephesians 4:12.
 Prophecy was not limited to men in
the bible

• Answer:   No! In addition to many men who had the gift of prophecy,

God also gave the gift to at least eight women: Anna (Luke 2:36-38);
Miriam (Exodus 15:20); Deborah (Judges 4:4); Huldah (2 Kings 22:14);
and the four daughters of Philip, an evangelist (Acts 21:8, 9).
 God speaks to the prophets

• "If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known
unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream." "With him
will I speak mouth to mouth." Numbers 12:6, 8.
Physical signs of a prophet whilst in vision
•   A. Will initially lose physical strength (Daniel 10:8).
B. May later receive supernatural strength (Daniel 10:18, 19).

C. No breath in the body (Daniel 10:17).

D. Able to speak (Daniel 10:16).

E. Won't be aware of earthly surroundings (Daniel 10:5-8 2

Corinthians 12:2-4).

F. Eyes will be open (Numbers 24:4).

 Miracles not a sign one is from God

• Answer:   No! The devil and his emissaries also have the power to work
miracles. Miracles prove only one thing: supernatural power. But such
power comes from both God and Satan (Deuteronomy 13:1-5;
Revelation 13:13, 14).
• As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate
Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour's advent as the
consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ
has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as
a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of
God given by John in the Revelation. Revelation 1:13-15. The glory that surrounds
him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. The shout of
triumph rings out upon the air: "Christ has come! Christ has come!" The people
prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands and

• pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed His disciples when He was
upon the earth.--- “Darkness before dawn page 42”

• 2 CORINTHIANS 12:13-14
• 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the
apostles of Christ.
• 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
 The law and the prophets go hand
in hand

• "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this
word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20.
 Is a true prophet's work primarily to
serve the church or to serve unbelievers?

• "Prophesying serveth not for them that believe

not, but for them which believe." 1 Corinthians
14:22.
 END TIME CHURCH

• A. It would not exist as an official organization between A.D. 538 and

1798.

B. It would arise and do its work after 1798.

C. It would keep the Ten Commandments, including the seventh-day

Sabbath of the fourth commandment.

D. It would have the gift of prophecy.

E. It would be a worldwide missionary church.

F. It would be teaching and preaching Jesus' three-point message of

Revelation 14:6-14
• Revelation 12:17 points out that God's end-time remnant church
will "have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Revelation 19:10 says
that "the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Can we be
sure this means that the church will have a prophet?

• Answer:   Yes. An angel told John in Revelation 19:10 that he was

John's "fellowservant", one of his "brethren" who have the
testimony of Jesus.
• This same angel repeated the identical information to John in
Revelation 22:9. He said, "I am thy fellowservant, and of thy
brethren the prophets."
• Notice this time he called himself a prophet rather than one with
the testimony of Jesus. So, obviously, having the "testimony of
Jesus" and being a prophet mean the same thing
• 19. Of what other special significance are the words "the
testimony of Jesus"?

• Answer:   The "testimony of Jesus" means that the words of

a prophet are from Jesus.
• We are thus to regard the words of a true prophet as a
special message from Jesus to us (Revelation 1:1 Amos 3:7).

• To bring reproach, in any way, upon a true prophet is an

extremely dangerous matter. It is the same as bringing
reproach upon Jesus, who sends them and guides them. No
wonder God warns, "Do my prophets no harm." Psalms
105:15.
 21. Did God send a prophet to His end-time remnant church?

• God Calls a Young Woman

•
God's end-time church began to form in the early 1840s and desperately needed
guidance. So, in harmony with His promise of Amos 3:7, God then called a young
woman named Ellen Harmon to be His prophetess.

• Ellen accepted the call.

• She had been injured in an accident at age nine and had to quit school with only three
years of formal education.

• Her health deteriorated until, when called by God at age 17, she weighed only 70
pounds and had been given up to die.
 She Served 70 Years

•
Ellen accepted God's call with the understanding that He would enable her
physically and keep her humble.

• She lived an additional 70 years and died at age 87. She insisted that her aim and
work were to point the church and its members to the Bible, which was to be its
creed, and to Jesus' free gift of righteousness.

• Ellen fulfilled every test of a prophet mentioned in this Study Guide.

 Her Pen Name and Books

Ellen married James White, a clergyman, and wrote under the name Ellen G. White.

• She became one of the world's most prolific woman writers.

• Her books, read worldwide, give inspired counsel on health, education,

temperance, the Christian home, parenting, publishing and writing, assisting the
needy, stewardship, evangelism, Christian living, and more.
• Her book Education is considered an authority in its field. It has been used by a
secular university as a textbook. It is so perceptive and relevant that it was once
plagiarized by the minister of education of a certain nation, who published it under
his own name. Dr. Florence Stratemeyer, a former professor of education at
Columbia University, said the book contained "advanced educational concepts"
and "was more than fifty years ahead of its time.

• " Dr. Clive McCay, former professor of nutrition at Cornell University, said of her
writings on health: "In spite of the fact that the works of Mrs. White were written
long before the advent of modern scientific nutrition, no better overall guide is
available today

• ." Newscaster Paul Harvey said she "wrote with such profound understanding on
the subject of nutrition that all but two of the many principles she espoused have
been scientifically established."
• Her book The Desire of Ages, on the life of Christ, has been labeled an "English
masterpiece" by Stationers Hall in London.

• It is heartwarming and uplifting beyond description. She said on the subject of

intelligence that a person's IQ could be increased long before experts agreed.

• She said in 1905 that cancer is a germ (or virus), which medical science began to
endorse only in the 1950s.

• Ellen G. White is said to be the fourth-most-translated writer of all time. Her book
on Christian living, Steps to Christ, has been translated into more than 150
languages and dialects
 Did Ellen White have visions?

• Answer:   Yes, many of them. They lasted from a few minutes to six hours. And
they meet the Bible standard for visions as outlined in the answer to question
seven of this Study Guide.
How can we know the true prophet
 Does Ellen White speak in harmony with the Scriptures?

• Answer:   Yes! Her writings are saturated with Scripture. Her stated and obvious
purpose was to point people to the Bible. Her words never contradict God's Word.
 How can I accept Ellen White as a true prophet, since I do not know what she wrote?

• Answer:   You can't, until you read what she has written.

• However, you can know that she (1) meets the tests of a prophet, (2) did the work
of a prophet, and that (3) God's true end-time church must have a prophet.

• We urge you to get one of her books and read it. (An inexpensive paperback copy
of The Desire of Ages may be purchased from Amazing Facts, Inc.)

• As you read it, ask yourself if it draws you to Jesus and if it is in harmony with the
Bible. It was written for you.

• We think you will find it absolutely enthralling.

 What three-point command does Paul give us regarding a prophet?

• Answer:   "Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is
good." 1 Thessalonians 5:20, 21. The apostle Paul says that we should not despise
or "tune out" a prophet.

• But rather, we should carefully test what the prophet says and does by the Bible. If
a prophet's words and behavior are in harmony with the Bible, we should heed
them.
