Do you know that a whale is a mammal?
The whale has a body shaped like a fish, it is not a fish.
The baby whale feeds on its mother’s milk. The baby whale is not hatched [menetas] from an egg like other fishes. A baby whale is born alive and the mother takes care of the baby for some time. Another difference between a whale and a fish is the way a whale breathes. Instead of gills, [insang] a whale has lungs. It takes in air through two blow holes on top of its head. When it is under the water, these blow holes are closed so that water will not get in. Every five or ten minutes, it rises to the top to take in air. A whale blows out the used air from its lungs with a loud noise. This makes the air looks like smoke as it rises. It blows out several times before it breathes in fresh air again.
