Mr. Henry Sy has provided
Filipinos with all the modern
conveniences of shopping in the
malls. He was also a great
philanthropist who donated whole
buildings to our top universities,
numerous schoolhouses all over
the country and gave scholarships

In 1961, he established
Consolidated Food Corporation
(later known as CFC Corporation,
which later merged with
Universal Robina Corporation),
which launched its instant coffee
brand Blend 45

He began selling good-quality
sulfa for a low price. As a result,
he was able to expand his
clientele. In 1945, he founded the
Mercury Drug chain of
pharmacies
Marion Que
Caktiong was able to expand
across the country after

family welfare, and harmonious
social relationships.
He exemplifies the traits that
should endow us: industrious,
disciplined, indefatigable,
creative, generous, always hungry
for knowledge, grateful and never
forgetting his origins, and most of
all, a loving person to his family
and his country.
He set himself apart by building
trust with his customers. He
eventually had a reputation for
quality products and fair prices
since the market then was filled
