1.0 PURPOSE:
Electrosteel Castings Limited shall establish, document, implement and maintain instructions to
monitoring CO and Noise level s
2.0 SCOPE
This work instruction is applicable for CO gas and Noise level measuring and monitoring under taken at
Electrosteel Castings Limited.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
Safety Dept measures the Noise and CO gas levels at selected areas once in month
Safety dept. will send the collected data to respective dept. at the end of the month.
Any deviations in the data, Safety Dept. will send that data to unit head for corrective actions.
4.0 INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 Measuring and monitoring noise levels using noise meter by safety person at selected areas in all divisions once
in a month i.e. DIP, MBF, COP, FA, STP and CPP & Cement Divisions near the equipment.
Specified ranges will be mentioned in PR stage to get specified range of calibration.
Equipment should be calibrated and calibration certificates should be available

4.3 Online monitors cross checked with portable monitors and record the both values, if there is any
deviation approach calibration party for rectification.
4.4 Will compare with the result with the log book results maintained by the control room operator for BFG
only
4.5 The collected data will be send to respective divisions at the end of every month.
4.6 If there is any deviation in the data, the report will be send to unit head for corrective action.
