By meticulously implementing these detailed measures, our aim is to enhance the safety and operational
integrity of the drilling rig, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring amenableness
with the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.

1. STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS
Monthly Visual Inspections:
 Include checks for visible signs of corrosion, wear, and distortion on the derrick
and substructure.
 Examine welds, joints, and connections for any anomalies.
 Document findings with photographs and detailed notes for future reference.

Annual NDT Testing:

 Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on critical structural welds and connections.
 Conduct Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) on high-stress areas.
 Utilize Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) for detecting surface cracks.
2. MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS
Routine Maintenance Checks:
 Inspect drilling equipment during each tripping out and make necessary adjustments.
 Utilize vibration analysis tools to monitor rotating machinery conditions.
 Lubricate moving parts as per manufacturer recommendations.

Preventive Maintenance Schedule:

 Develop a quarterly schedule for in-depth inspections and overhaul of critical
components.
 Include detailed checklists for each machinery type.
 Schedule downtime for comprehensive inspections during planned maintenance
periods.
3. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTION
Bi-Annual Checks:
 Inspect electrical panels and connections for signs of overheating.
 Use thermal imaging to identify hotspots in wiring.
 Verify the functionality of control systems through simulated scenarios.

Grounding System Maintenance:

 Conduct annual soil resistivity tests to ensure proper grounding.
 Inspect grounding connections for corrosion.
 Implement corrective actions based on resistance measurements.
4. PRESSURE EQUIPMENT INSPECTION
Comprehensive Inspection Program:
 Develop a detailed schedule for internal and external inspections based on equipment
type and usage.

 Include Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods such as Radiographic Testing

(RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
 Monitor corrosion rates and thickness using corrosion coupons and ultrasonic
thickness gauges.

Routine Pressure Testing:

 Perform quarterly pressure tests on critical components.
 Monitor pressure relief valve performance and replace as needed.
5. SAFETY DEVICE CHECKS
Monthly Testing:
 Conduct functional tests of blowout preventers using both manual and automated
procedures.
 Simulate emergency shutdown scenarios to verify the effectiveness of safety systems.
 Document results and implement corrective actions promptly.

Annual Functional Test:

 Collaborate with certified third-party experts to perform a comprehensive
functional test. •
 Verify that all safety alarms and communication systems are operational.
6. ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
Regular Reviews and Updates:
 Form a dedicated environmental compliance team to conduct quarterly reviews.
 Stay abreast of regulatory changes and update procedures accordingly.
 Implement pollution prevention measures based on the latest industry practices.
Spill Prevention and Response Drills:
 Conduct quarterly drills simulating various spill scenarios.
 Evaluate response times, effectiveness of containment measures, and coordination
among response teams.
 Document lessons learned and adjusted spill response plans accordingly.
7. DOCUMENTATION AND RECORD-KEEPING
Digital Database Management:
 Implement a secure, cloud-based database for centralized record-keeping.
 Categorize records by equipment type, inspection date, and findings.
 Ensure accessibility for authorized personnel and auditors.

Regular Audits:
 Schedule annual internal audits to review documentation accuracy and completeness.
Engage external auditors periodically for an independent assessment of record-keeping
practices.

emergency response procedures.
 Include hands-on training and scenario-based exercises.

Annual Competency Assessments:

 Evaluate each employee’s ability to perform key tasks.
 Identify areas for improvement and provide targeted training.
 Maintain a competency matrix for tracking personnel development.
9. Emergency Response Preparedness
Monthly Drills:
 Rotate through various emergency scenarios each month.
 Include fire drills, well control exercises, and evacuation procedures.
 Evaluate response times and communication effectiveness.

Regular Plan Updates:

 Review and update emergency response plans annually.
 Incorporate feedback from drills and lessons learned from real incidents.
 Distribute revised plans to all personnel and relevant stakeholders.
10. Continuous Improvement
Feedback Mechanism:
 Establish a reporting system for personnel to submit observations and suggestions.
