If you’ve been on the internet for more than a few hours, you’ve likely seen at
least one advertisement teaching you how to make thousands of dollars a day,
working in your underwear, in the comfort of your own home. These ads are so
ridiculously popular that if you’re like most people, you start doubting whether it
really IS possible to make money online.
There are countless stories of people who have been misjudged, shunned, and shamed because they
didn’t fit the preconceived notions of a certain mold. In our experience, we are equally inclined to
overestimate our own talents in some areas while simultaneously undervaluing our abilities in other
areas. It’s like looking in a fun house mirror—you see a version of yourself that resembles you, but it’s so
distorted that you really can’t use it as a guide. What’s worse is that we often let somebody else hold
the fun house mirror, and they add to the distortion by moving that mirror around in whatever way suits
them best. In order to start finding and seeing your true talents, you need to understand the two
THE ONE HABIT THAT RULES THEM ALL: THE 10- MINUTE RULE
Developing your POP might strike you as an overwhelming prospect, like taming a wild animal. We want
you to know it’s not: There’s a simple way to work on it and in the process develop a powerful habit for
your hustle. The best part is it takes a mere 10 minutes per day. If life has taught the three of us
anything, it is this: Getting started is the single most difficult aspect of doing anything worthwhile. Not
finding a good idea. Not executing. Think about your life. From mundane tasks like washing dishes after
dinner to going for a run to getting up without hitting snooze at 5 a.m. fourteen times to writing a book
about hustle, it is the thought that is vastly more painful than the actual task. Always has been, and
always will be. How many times have you groaned at the thought of going to the gym only to find that
once you are all of 7 minutes into your workout, you not only feel absolutely fantabulous, you question
why you even hesitated in the first place? How absurd! And inescapable and human. As irrational
LET’S GET TO THE REAL DEAL: HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE IN LEGAL WAY
Make money online through websites such as Upwork, Fiverr and Freelancer.com.
These sites offer opportunities to do a variety of freelance jobs, such as writing,
programming, design, marketing, data entry and being a virtual assistant. Fluent in a
second language? Check sites such as Gengo or Blend Express, or drum up business
through a site of your own. No matter what freelancing you do, keep track of the
going rate for the kind of work you provide so you know if you’re charging too much
or too little. Learn how to get started on Upwork.
Total time: It can take a while to get your first gig.
Setup: 24 hours.
How easy to start: Easy, if you have the expertise.
How fast you'll get paid: Varies by site.
Need to know
Upwork will approve your profile within 24 hours. But keep in mind it can
take time to land your first freelance gig.
Payment varies by site. On Upwork, you're paid after you and the client
review the work, 10 days after the billing period ends. On Fiverr, you're
paid when the work order is complete, but you can't withdraw funds for
14 days.
Requirements
Upwork requires users to be at least 18. Fiverr sets the age requirement
at 13. And Freelancer.com requires users to be at least 16.
Some sites require you be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Another way to make money from home is on sites like UserTesting.com. You
get paid for your thoughts on how well — or not so well — certain websites
and apps worked. You’ll have to complete a short test to be accepted, then
you’ll be paid depending on the test type. UserTesting.com does not disclose
an exact amount.
Total time: Approval time can vary.
Setup: Less than an hour.
How easy to start: Easy, if you have the tech gear and complete a sample
test.
Age threshold: 18+.
How fast you'll get paid: Seven days.
Need to know
You typically need to complete a sample test as part of the application
process.
You will start receiving testing opportunities after your application is
approved.
The timeline for approval can vary.

Some sites might have language requirements (e.g., UserTesting.com
requires applicants to speak English or German).
Even in the age of automation, some jobs still require a human touch.
Companies often outsource those jobs via services like Amazon’s Mechanical
Turk. As a “worker,” the tasks you’ll be assigned can be tedious — tagging
images, transcribing videos, classifying receipts — and can take anywhere
from a few minutes to a few hours. Temporary employers or “requesters” set
the price for each task and get to approve the finished product before paying
you. That can leave room for scams, so do your research. Join a community
You can make money from home by taking online surveys, but don’t expect to
be rolling in the dough. Survey sites don’t typically offer a big payoff, and
many sites are more useful for earning gift cards than cash. Some of the more
popular survey sites include Swagbucks and Survey Junkie. Read our analysis of
survey sites to find out which one is best suited for you.
Total time: It will take a while.
Setup: Just minutes.

and other ways bloggers can make money.
Total time: It can take quite a while to build an audience.
Setup: With blog templates, building a site is easy.
How easy to start: Starting is not that difficult. Creating regular content may
be another matter.
Age threshold: Any.
How fast you'll get paid: A month or two, on average.
Need to know
First, you need a blog, social media account or other online presence
that draws a healthy number of visitors each month.
Then, you need to apply for and be approved by an affiliate marketing

Turn your cat videos into cash videos. If your YouTube videos or blog posts
draw a big audience, you may be able to make money from advertising.
YouTube sets 1,000 subscribers as the benchmark creators must make before

to Google AdSense, a service businesses pay through to advertise around your
content. The service is free, but there are requirements you must meet. Read

videos.
Age threshold: 18+.

Setup: A listing can be created and live in hours.
How easy to start: If you have a place to rent, it's a simple process.
Age threshold: 18+.

Have an old phone, iPad or gaming system lying around? Sell it on a site like
Swappa or Gazelle. Check out Amazon’s trade-in program, which pays
participants in Amazon gift cards — and eBay, too. If you’re in a rush, try an
ecoATM kiosk, which offers cash on the spot for your device.
Total time: Lots of options, so your time spent will vary. Setup: A breeze.
How easy to start: Easy. Have phone, sell phone. Age threshold: Any. How
fast you'll get paid: Varies by where you sell.

start accepting tasks until your profile is approved by TaskRabbit.
The company processes registration on a rolling basis to avoid
oversaturation in a given market. How quickly your application is
approved will depend on demand in your area.
Note that once approved, you need to pay a $25 fee, so you may first
want to research your market and the value of your skills to determine if
that fee is worth it to you.
You're paid after the task is completed through direct deposit. Payment
typically takes a few days to appear in your account.
There are many people who are interested in buying websites online and the
marketplace is huge. They want to buy these sites because they have already been
established and already produce income which means they don't have to do the
groundwork on their own or because they see a potential for growth and higher
● Create a site that outlines the basics of what you offer. As soon as you find some
buyers and sellers who are interested in your service, begin updating your website
showing what websites are available as well as what your buyers are looking for. One
important thing to remember is to never put the seller's contact info on your
website, otherwise potential buyers could try to cut you out and bypass your
commission.
● You can find people who are interested in buying and selling websites by going to
the biggest existing brokerage sites such as flippa.com, websitebroker.com and
BuySellWebsite.com. Anyone who has their websites listed on any of these sites
would more than likely want additional help and exposure and you can propose to
list their website on your platform too.
● Visit websites such as TB Solutions and analyze some of the sites that are for sale
there. You can also make some pricing requests. You should get good at identifying
websites that have a high Google ranking and other good metrics that have value
such as Domain Authority, Trust Flow and good backlink profiles. By using those
types of sites to buy websites with high PR and other good metrics, you can get them
developed into professional and attractive websites and then sell them for a much
higher price.
● Another great way to attract buyers to your website is to advertise on pay-per-click
advertising platforms such as Google Adwords and Bing Ads. By doing this, you can
have your website show up in the sponsored listings whenever someone does a
search for "websites for sale" or other related keywords to your business.
● Never give out sensitive website details to potential © Copyright 2017 – All Rights
Reserved. buyers until you get signed paperwork stating that they won't go around
you, and so forth.
● If a deal is made, the payment can be sent to you where you can collect your
commission and forward the remainder of the money to the seller.
17. Podcasting
Podcasting is quite similar to blogging, but you do it via your voice instead of typing or writing. Podcasts
are digital media files (most often mp3 audio), which are typically produced in a series. Listeners can
subscribe to your podcasts by using software called a podcatcher. Podcasting can be used for:
1. Informational content.
2. Music.
3. Talk Shows.
4. Training.
5. Story telling..
Many people consider podcasting as an alternative to commercial radio and TV, because of the low cost
of producing a podcast which allows more voices and viewpoints to be heard. You would get the exact
same benefits and you should approach it the same way as Blogging, but it's simply a way to suit people
who would prefer talking versus writing. Plus, the other benefit to podcasts is they can be heard while
driving, jogging or at times when it is impossible to read. To get started podcasting, you will need a few
basic bits of equipment such as a headphone, microphone, and software with which to record your
audio files. You can make decent money with podcasting in exactly the same way you would with
blogging – via advertisements and by recommending affiliate products directly in your podcast that offer
commissions. Another more lucrative way to get paid to podcast is with sponsorships. This is the way
most prominent podcasters are monetizing their podcast these days. With this method, you simply
promote your sponsor and get paid directly from them. The most important number to sponsors isn't
actually the size of your audience, but how engaged your audience is and how likely they are to take
action on the sponsors message from the presenter. In order for you to become a paid podcaster, here
are some steps you can take:.
● Plan out and record your content – you can use a good free recording program called Audacity if you
don't already have something else.
● Create or convert your recordings to mp3 format. Upload your mp3 files along with good a description
to your website. Now you can start sharing it with your friends, on social media etc. Remember to add
content as frequently as possible so that you can build up a regular listener base and potentially find
those sponsorship deals.
● There are many great tutorials out there that show you how to do each of these steps in-depth. Cliff
Ravenscraft, aka the Podcast Man has a free video series, "Learn How To Podcast 101", which is a video
tutorial with more than 120 minutes of instruction that will help you lay a solid foundation for setting up
a podcast for future success. This podcasting tutorial will give you all the building blocks to help you
understand what is needed to launch your podcast business properly. Another really great free resource
can be found at http://howtopodcasttutorial.com/. They provide information of setting up a podcast, as
well as detailed guides on promoting and making money with your podcasts.
● You can ask for donations. Don't expect to make too much money with this method though.
● Give some quality information away free, charge for the rest. One popular method being used today is
to offer every 2nd podcast for free and charge a monthly fee for the rest.
● Allow listeners to partially listen to your show for free and pay for full access. With this method you
could offer the first 10-20 minutes of your podcast for free and charge for the rest.
● Build your brand to sell your own products and services. If you run your own business you can
promote those on your podcasts. How much can I make podcasting? It can take some time to establish a
decent podcast audience, but the profit potentials can be quite large if you become popular. Your
earnings will vary based on the amount of listeners you get, how interesting your content is, how often
you podcast, and the types of advertisements you offer.
