Water Phase:

Distilled Water - 70%

Aloe Vera Gel - 10%
Chamomile Hydrosol - 10%

Oil Phase:

Jojoba Oil - 4%
Shea Butter - 3%
Squalane - 2%
Calendula Oil - 1%

Emulsifier:

Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20 - 3%

Thickener:

Xanthan Gum - 0.5%

Preservative:

Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin - 1%

Active Ingredients:

Allantoin - 0.3%
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) - 1%

Fragrance:

Essential Oil Blend (optional) - 0.2%

Instructions:

Combine water phase ingredients (1-3) in a heat-resistant container and heat to about 70-75°C (158-167°
In a separate container, combine oil phase ingredients (4-7) and heat to the same temperature as the wat
Add the emulsifier (8) to the oil phase and mix well until fully melted and blended.
 Slowly pour the oil phase into the water phase while stirring continuously. Use a hand mixer or a homoge
Allow the mixture to cool to about 40°C (104°F) while continuing to stir gently.
Sprinkle xanthan gum (9) over the mixture and use a high-speed mixer to thoroughly disperse and hydrat
Once the mixture has cooled to room temperature, add the preservative (10) and mix well to ensure even
Add the active ingredients (11-12) and the optional essential oil blend (13) for fragrance. Mix thoroughly.
Perform pH testing and adjust if necessary to ensure the lotion is within a suitable pH range for the skin (
Transfer the lotion to suitable packaging, such as an airless pump or squeeze bottle.
